Guess I'm starting this one off; benefits of having the day off tomorrow, which I guess is technically today.

Prairie's Holiday Weekend, a BBA stout with coconut, cacao nibs, cinnamon and marshmallow.

Sorry for the absence of these days ...
In this part of the universe right now someone is drinking:
A SPRINGTIME - from BIBIBIR (Italian microbrewery) in collaboration with BASQUELAND BREWERY(ESP) - DOUBLE DRY HOPPING RYE SESSION IPA (4,8%)
On the nose (not excessive the explosion) tropical fruit and hints of citrus, citrus.
Light yellow color. Transparent, very clean.
In the mouth, very light body that slips away.
I think rye helps with this, but the beer is not silky ... It is very drinkable and fresh.
Bouquet of tropical fruit, grapefruit and citrus. Not "juicy" is all about hops.
    Light, pleasant, in full style.
Dry finish that dissolves everything leaving on the palate hints of pineapple but also citrus.

The brewmaster of this microbrewery has recently tried his hand at producing beers of this type ... He started with classic styles and pursues them.
But even with these hoppy beers he really managed to hit the mark.

Was still on the fence on whether 2020 was salvageable post March 10th, but this latest news may have tipped the scales. I haven't been a fan of basketball the past few decades (or NCAA anything since the Joe Paterno scandal), but when I did follow the sport, my two favorite teams / coaches were the Georgetown Hoyas, coached by John Thompson Sr., and the Indiana Hoosiers, coached by Robert Montgomery Knight.

I so loved the Hoyas that I went from being a big Chicago Bulls fan to hating the team after they signed Michael Jordan, who beat the Hoyas in the 1982 Championship Game, and never cheered for them since.

I am very sad at the passing of John Thompson Senior, a legend and great leader. Take the time to remember him, or someone close and personal who you admired and took the time to prove and mentor and good human being to you and others, and pass it forward.

Coach John Thompson embraces Fred Brown first, the player who threw the inadvertent pass to James Worthy at the end the NC game, after Georgetown's 1984 National Championship.

Sticking with D.C. born and raised Sir Duke.

Played many times via organ during the Patrick Ewing era at Madison Square Garden, the team I adopted after the Bulls drafted Michael Jordan and they won Patrick Ewing in the fixed NBA lottery.

I have also noticed flatness in a lot of Prairie stouts. It saddens me the overall flavor profile for stouts continues to get sweeter and sweeter. Has prarie ever release a plain RiS?

    Good morning BA
I've already got a coat of sealer on the walls of my bathroom project, so beer
    [IMG]
Comparing the description on the BD website to the one on BA, this beer has been completely reformulated. I suggested an edit. The best of three beers I've tried from them all post buy out. Think halfway between a clean AAL and an authentic festbeer. Cheers all!

I'm having a Coastal Evacuation. It is a DIPA from Cape May Brewing. It's a solid, fruity drink. Aromas and flavors of orange, papaya & honeydew. Goes down real smooth for 8.0% ABV. Gotta watch myself.

    Good afternoon Advocates,
    I'm drinking now:

The White Hag (Sligo, IRL) - GLAS - Milkshake Ipa peaches & cream (6,0%)

The nose smells of candy, merengue. Strong smell of peach jam.
Dark yellow color. Not very clear, but I would have expected more opaque.
In the mouth cream and sweet peach. Almost cream with peach topping. Slim body.
Sweet flavor of cream / cream and ripe yellow peach, almost jam.
I was expecting something "artificial" and in fact these aromas seem almost an external body added to a standard and light bitter ipa.
Dry finish, the bitterness is slightly perceptible.
On the palate, flavors remain that have little to do with beer and much more with a cheeskake with yellow peaches.
I am aware that this beer is not one of my favorite genres, but I still wanted to taste it.
I remain of my idea ... it seems that beer and also this sort of mix of tastes are two different elements that have been made to coexist.

    Sláinte !
    Cheers !
