I'll have to check out Tinmath!

Also, just had the Golden Oak Barrel Aged Tripel from Bruz. Really excellent - incredible funky oak tartness to a big boozy Belgian beer. I'm excited to try more from these guys!

An oak aged tripel? I'm IN. I don't know if I've ever had anything from Bruz. I always meant to stop in to their old location, but there were too many other must-visit places over there. I love Belgian styles.

Definitely pick it up if you can! Delicious and unique. Saw some untappd ratings saying it was bourbon-barrel aged, so there must be a couple different versions or something bcs the one I had certainly was not BBA.

But yeah, it was the same story for me with Bruz. I never stopped it but just moved back to the Congress Park area and noticed that they opened a satellite location at York & Colfax. Nice little spot with a patio, and I was impressed by the beers I got from them -- the oak tripel, a Belgian Golden strong ale, and even a nice Belgian IPA.

We stopped at Bruz on colfax and really liked everything we tried... this was a few months ago and I don’t recall exactly what we had, but we left knowing we’d certainly return!

There are a lot of places I need to hit up or revisit. Ever since COVID, we've just been hitting the same 3-4 spots with only one "field trip" to Wild Provisions.

Dang, did not know they have a location on Colfax, that's pretty close to me. I've been wanting to try their beers for a while, need to pop by.

Drank a ‘Wood’ Trial 1 the other night from New Image... a barley wine aged on white/French oak.

Have had that bad boi for a minute, but was always intimidated by the 15.25% ABV, but decided to take er down solo anyway. Irregardlessly speaking, it was delightful.. lots of caramel and figs with a delicious oaky element. Not sure how old it was, but it was certainly as ‘smooth’ as many of the gold foils from Avery that I’ve tried in that alcohol range.

Incredibly well done with a great balance and integration of flavors, especially considering the ABV. My only issue is that I only had one:slight_frown:

Just had their grand cru quad. Im not sure if it was wood aged, it sure tasted like it. What a smooth beer for 13%+ abv.
