It’s pretty decent for what it is. A mid 4% pils.

If you are looking for more strawberry, then my guess is you will not be disappointed with this one. A little tart from the base beer and a little more tart from the strawberry with the tropical notes of the guava coming through. My wife doesn't like anything sour, but I believe her exact words were "Is this beer? This tastes like juice."

Since I kinda bashed Phase Three's IPA streak lately, I picked up a single can of Adhara to make sure I wasn't just mouthing off on the internet. I didn't love this one the first time around (about a year ago), but thought it was OK.

First of all, I think they improved the can art; hopefully they've abandoned using the same template for all their IPA's.

I liked this one a little better than last time; the finish was a bit less "off" to me. I wasn't blown away by any means...it wasn't quite mediocre, as I accused them of becoming, but maybe slightly above average. I'm not going to start buying every IPA again, but I wasn't upset with my purchase either.

    Just one idiot's opinion.

Two new beers up on their store:
    Zentangle - $16.99
7.7% Double IPA Made with our heavily-oated grain bill and copious amounts of Simcoe, Amarillo, and El Dorado hops. You will experience aromas and flavors of melon, grapefruit pith, and unripened peach; as well as some contrasting notes of sweet, dank cannabis.
Lost in the Moment - $10.99
6.6% American IPA This beer is our nod to a classic American-Style IPA. No wheat, no oats, a traditional bittering charge of hops, and a clean American Ale yeast used during fermentation. It boasts mango, pine, and grapefruit flavors. We are excited to get this nostalgic hop-forward beer back into your hands.

I think their can art is actually one of the better in Chicagoland. There seems to be a coherent design philosophy across the different "brands" within their lineup that I appreciate.

will still be a bit. None in the tanks as of a couple of weeks ago on Facebook live. But the BA beer is imminent and Stouts will be poured at the taproom opening on Saturday

Is the BA beer just for members or for plebes too?

he said there will be a public ba beer at the end of the year. But it sounds like BA beers will be available out of bottle pours to all in the taproom on a frequent basis

For what it is worth, it has been fairly easy (and cheap) to get stouts at the taproom. Every one I tried has been phenomenal so I am hoping they continue to have these available.

Yeah each time I have been in the beer garden there have been options for pressed and curvature pours. This past Saturday they had Curvature B6 bottles for on site consumption. Just needed at least a party of 2 to purchase, $29.99

I find it odd at best that they’re opening the taproom to the public with whole members get first dibs at events & still 3 BA releases to go this year. To announce the taproom opening on Untappd wtf is that?

Looks like their Oktoberfest is ready to order. From what I remember last year, it was pretty solid.

As for the opening, I'm not sure how many here have had to deal with their local village officials lately, but during this pandemic things are quite different. I live 5 minutes from P3, though I'm technically in Hawthorn Woods. I'm the HOA President for our community and we wanted a food truck to come to our neighborhood. We actually went back and forth and finally got the village to agree, but we had to have a strategy submitted on how we were promoting face masks and social distancing before they would approve (the truck uses a reservation system and ordering ahead, btw). They also told us under no circumstances can we promote it on Facebook to avoid drawing large crowds. And that's for a food truck serving 220 homes, of which maybe only 25% will come out.

I would bet P3 was either told specifically not to promote it or they were given restrictions. Or to avoid extra attention from Lake Zurich officials and still abide by current guidelines for crowds and spacing, they possibly decided themselves not to promote it too much. When I talked to Evan and Shaun last week about it, they were definitely saying it would be low key, but I don't know if they decided that or the village decided for them.

tl;dr...Oktoberfest is out and don't be a noodlehead.

Welp, they posted it on Facebook so let the fun begin!

The noodlehead statement still stands. Seriously. Please play by the rules so everyone can enjoy.

was hoping for Eunoia this weekend but it’s probably for the best the bottles come out on a separate weekend for crowd purposes

    Another new release:

Its our taproom opening weekend and we’re excited, so we brewed something fun!

Triple Dry Hopped Triple Pixel Density, or “Trixel” for short is our newest Triple IPA.

We designed this one to drink lighter, to be more like it’s little brother, but needed a way to keep the 10% ABV hidden, so we triple dry hopped it with Citra! Huge flavors of tropical fruit and danky greens.

Available now on our website for curbside pickups at 3pm.
