Not to mention the price tag for a 32oz crowler of ba beer.

 

I've got a local bar which fills crowlers but since COVID they started also doing 8oz "crowlers" which have a twist off top. It's a nice option for those expensive/strong BA beers but I hear they don't seal/keep nearly as well as a regular crowler.

 

The crowlers can last for quite a while unopened. Once they're opened, it's more difficult to extend their life than using a bottle stopper on a bomber, but if you put some saran wrap over the top and a rubber band around it, it'll still be perfectly fine the next day, possibly two days later depending on the beer.

 

Always treat a Crowler like a Growler. Open ASAP for best results.

Not bad advice at all but I can say from experience that I had one of the Boss Jacket era crowlers in the fridge for a month while waiting for a share. Tasted excellent for sure.

 

It seems like every time I make a trip to Rev they burn me with something being released/re-released shortly after. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! Well played Rev, well played

 

Looks like they just tapped it. Not sure about crowlers though.

 

...and it looks like Sanctuary 13 is gone.

 

Sanctuary 13 kicked yesterday about 5 minutes before I got to the brewpub which... was a super bummer. Manager (I think?) and the hosts were super nice about it and obviously felt bad. They even offered to cover a 4 pack. Looking forward to the Sanctuary 19 though and I'll be sure to call ahead this time.

 

Any word on Deep Wood Series glassware @BeerCruncher ? Didn't see any info in any of the press/social media releases.

I'm not the biggest Gravedigger Billy fan, but this Double Barrel Billy Limited is borderline incredible. The smoke is subtle, the caramel is bold and their are smooth vanilla notes that are sublime.

The booze heat is actually VERY well hidden at 16%...thankfully I had it last night so there won't be 40 more posts following this.

Totally worth the steep price on this, IMO.


EDIT: I looked up my Gravedigger Billy review...turns out I am a fan! But this was even better.
