Beer Geek Christmas

40 people by door open. I'll be there.

 

Because I took vacation time to go do something else tomorrow, I think I'm going to try to come to this. Westy XII and BCBS vertical are too tempting to pass up. Just wondering how early I'd have to be there?

 

I got there at 6am last year and was 3rd in line.

 

How does Beer Geek Christmas usually work? Do the first few in line get to go in the store first? Are the first few allowed to decide what they want to purchase before everyone else? Thanks.

Really? I was 5th or 6th in line and missed out on the bottle of RARE the gal from rochester got it who was 10th or so in line. I didn't know what i was getting myself into at the time. Fun event but with the Westy madness i might have to reconsider going this year.

 

You guys are nuts. The beer world is becoming a crazy place!

 

I am trying to spell things out as best I can between Facebook and the website. If I miss some things I apologize, the larger venue I had lined up fell through at the last minute so we have to make due one last time with our small space. It will be crowded, it may be slow at times, but I promise it will be fun and we will have some killer beer to sample..

 

Actually she wasn't the one who got the Rare, I don't remember who it was but he gave it to her because that was why they drove up or something. So really she didn't snag it before you

 

Timmy was second in line, he grabbed the Rare, but gave it to her. I had the CBS, but gave it to her boy friend/husband(?), not knowing Timmy gave her the rare. I made out alright though... Thanks Ed!

 

I'm just hoping there will be a few bottles of SA Triple Bock hiding on a shelf somewhere.

What a nice guy see us beer geeks are givers. I think I was like 15th or so in line last year I think I did decent. I was still kinda new to a lot of the beer offered there like I wasn't quite aware what various things were I just grabbed things that looked rare. Some I found weren't some were but I enjoyed everything I did get

 

I'll be there after work! Can't wait!
