The label style looks like they might be part of a box set... I'm guessing that since they are both double barrel like Chocolate Reign ($52 for 750ml) doing a 10oz can brings production cost roughly similar to a 12.7oz waxed bottle of a typical BT variant like Aloha Friday ($42 for 750ml). That would allow them to keep the box price on par with price of last year's box (maybe a touch higher just since all prices raised since then).

    I'd expect similar $$$/Oz. Doubt it'll double.

The only thing I hate about smaller formats is the Price-per-ounce jumps.

I've been kinda sleeping on Bruery this summer, haven't been buying much and haven't been keeping up with the coming attractions. They just made a STATEMENT to anyone considering not renewing.

Truthfully I was ambivalent, likely in but was kind of ho-hum. Pretty excited to be in for another year after seeing what is in the pipeline. Bravo.

I could really get into smaller format (10oz) high ABV beer. It allows me to drink them more often. Now adays the 750ml high ABV beers I look at and always say.... Maybe another night. I hope the coming year they think about packaging more 10oz cans.... I would be more inclined to buy those.

I’m so excited to see what people think of this months beers... this has the potential to be the most expensive month I’ve ever had as a Society Member.

Am I the only one that received the hoarders email that stated they didn't charge tax and now they are going to charge me another 60 bucks on my card? *Pitchfork raised*

For me it's shipping costs (a box of 375ml beers costs the same to ship as a box of 750s but has half as much beer). Otherwise I love having a more quaffable size for the higher alcohol stuff.

No... me too. I noticed when I purchased the membership (they usually add tax to it)... I assumed there would be a needed adjustment to add the tax... Uncle Sam needs his cut of the transaction :joy:

Nope. I got the DC version, so it's an extra $70 (and no representation).

Maybe. I was charged the correct $755.82 at checkout. I do recall, though, that last year I wasn't charged for tax when I re-upped, so I got an email a couple days later telling me to expect an additional charge on my CC.

Just watched the virtual happy hour and someone needs to buy me a new fire extinguisher. My wallet, in the other room, burst into flames. Tomorrow's gonna hurt... so good.

Then talk of next months BT plans it caught on fire again. I'm also out of baking soda. Ugh!

While BT Maple and Gray Monday are (rightfully) hogging the attention, the Hoarders box looks pretty good too:

    Monkey Bizness - 17.2% ABV
We knew Hoarders would go bananas for this one. Inspired by our innovation team's love for Monkey Bread, this ale was aged in bourbon barrels with Dulce de Leche, cinnamon, pecans, and vanilla.

    Moesha's Apple Sour - 8.2% ABV
This Hoarders exclusive has Brandy written all over it. We took our sour blonde ale and aged it in Apple Brandy barrels, but that just wasn't enough, so we added some Macintosh apples to the mix. The result is a cocktail-like concoction that sips funky and fresh.

    Not A Brownie - 14.5% ABV
We like to ask the important questions, like is a blondie a brownie? Would a blondie make a great beer? Well, no and yeas, respectively. This ale was aged in bourbon barrels with coconut, cacao nibs, walnuts, vanilla, and Dulce de Leche for a decadent treat.

Horse In The Grove - 6.9% ABV
This horse has been in the orchard, but now it's time to hit the grove. This foeder-aged tart saison is funky and fruit-forward with notes of pomegranate and apricots. It's rounded out quite nicely with a hint of spice from the white pepper.

Black Tuesday Islay - 19.2% ABV
What would happen if Black Tuesday took a trip to the southernmost islands of Islay? This beer would happen! Made exclusively for Hoarders members, Black Tuesday Islay is an experiment in wood — treating our biggest base beer in peaty Scotch barrels, leaving you with the familiar flavors of Black Tuesday with a Scottish twist.

Tart of Darkness with Cherry and Coconut - 8.2% ABV
The roasty notes of Tart of Darkness immerse themselves in the tropical wave of flavor brought on by the addition of cherries and toasted coconut. It's like eating a cherry coconut pie with a nice cup of coffee.

What are the tasting notes on BET Maple? Is it a huge sweet maple bomb or is it subtle or does anyone know?
