I'd agree with @Zorak2 on this one, with some additions.

If you look at the label approvals, Big Bird Blood (along with Cerveza de Julie and Tiramisu Blonde) were approved for 12 oz bottles. So they have have their own six pack releases.

Juicy Tree, Yoda, Batch 10000, Liberator, and Double Cat Grass were approved for can releases. Doesn't mean that Liberator and Juicy Tree will be in the pack, Short's might be migrating to can-only releases in the future. I dunno. Part of me would love to see all these in six pack releases, but since Yoda is a blend of the other Hoppy Holidays brews, and Yoda is in a can, I believe we'll see a Hoppy Holidays pack in cans this year.

Anyway, here's the label for Tiramisu Blonde. Sounds like something along the lines of Bean Flicker or Marvelroast

And here's another new one, Market Rodeo. Looks like it may be another Westborn Market exclusive, like Market Legend earlier this year.

Also, Turtle Stout had a keg ring approved. I know that one was mentioned fondly during the tournament, so I thought I'd mention it. It may be a pub only, but hopefully a keg or so will make it into the wild.

My dream Hoppy Holiday sampler would be. Spruce Pilsner, Goodnight Bodacious, Chief Hopper, Aww Jeah, Hellacious Rock, and Sagejuana.

This beer is already on my store's shelves, and I was wrong. Its taste is close to the description but on the weak-tasting side. More flavor is experienced when the beer has warmed a lot. It's listed as Retired on the Short's BA page, so I have requested that status be changed. So much for "goodness." :slight_frown:

Wow, added in 2011? The announcement made it sound like a new brew. I see the ABV is different, maybe it's a reformulated version.
Either way, it's too bad it's pretty subtle.

I didn't catch on the different abv, so this has to be a new version. It seems to be a very divisive beer. Ratings are all over the place on Untappd, and those numbers would be for this new version. My wife said she saw a couple 0.25 scores.

Everyone will have to give it a try to decide for themselves. I don't consider it a bad beer, but it's certainly not one of Short's best efforts.

Wow. Grabbed a pack at the store, popped one when I got home and let it warm up a bit. The flavor is extremely faint. It's not bad, it's just not there. If La Croix was a beer, this would be it.

I'm torn on this one. Cans store easier in the fridge, take up less room, and are beach-friendly. I'd miss the six pack artwork and "free" bottles for my home brews though.

I was told almost a year ago at Short's mart that they are moving everything to cans, possibly within 2 year. So I guess maybe by next year, but who knows with the aluminum can shortage.

I agree with you on the bottle art, the cans in my Short's collection just dont look as good as the bottles (I save 1 from every release) but cans are superior in every other way.

Im with you, not their best effort, but still decent. Tasted like a very light green grape juice which was overall pretty refreshing for me.

For primarily being IPAs, there's a nice variety of flavors. Sabrotage had my attention; beyond the Beastie Boys inspired label, I really liked what Sabro did for Market Legend.

I also see the word Nitro in the center of the bottom banner of Super Delicious, I wonder if they're going to use Nitro cans or if it's brewed to simulate a nitro feel.

And then there's the "???" square...

    New beer dropping soon:

Yes, yes, it's not Autumn Ale but it's a damn fine IPA. And with the change in weather a new brew will help keep the evenings warmer.
