    This would be nice. .

I'm not a big fan of the box concept. I pass unless I want all the beers in the box. As a result, the only box I bought so far was last year's BT box. Which I will admit, I thoroughly enjoyed.

Of course. It's just that when I've purchased bottles (just recently) the option for overnight shipping seems to disappear, once I add bottles from my cellar to the shipment. If there is a way to then select overnight, I swear I've never noticed it...

I've received shipping confirmation right away, too, but it's only confirming the order, not that it's on the way. Hmmm... guess I'll have to buy a bottle and pull my September allocations to see what shipping options I get...

Yeah, I know. I used to trade the Terreux bottles with a coworker for some of his MT beers. Unfortunately, he's taking a break from beer clubs in 2021 so no mixed boxes for me in the near future

The BT box from last year was incredible!!

That's awesome. So it's arriving tomorrow? Guess I need to look closer at those shipping options to see where I goofed up.

Yes arriving tomorrow. The only requirement is to purchase the shipping before 2pm and it will ship out that day. This is a major upgrade! Thanks Bruery!

"Overnight" is the only shipping option, and has been since at least 2016... The catch is that it sometimes took a week or two for them to process and give to the shipping company. Once it gets to the shipping company THEN it's overnight.

The difference now they're saying is that they're going to be prompt in how quickly they process the order.

Yeah, that's been my experience. The last order I placed did only take two days to get down here. The one before that, a week. I did just log on to my Bruery account and while the only shipping option is Express (for next day delivery in CA) the catch is that's next day if you live in LA or the OC. I live in North San Diego county so it's no guarantee for me.

Huh, weird. I'm in the San Francisco area and in four years 100% of my shipments have come next day after the package shipped.

Yep, I’m 5 hours north of SF and average 12 shipments a year for the last 6 years. They always arrive next day except for one time when the 101 was shut down.

I hear Eureka is beautiful this time of year. Is the sky red up there too?

Any issues with shipping have usually been GSO’s fault on my end (delivery drivers, for whatever reason, do not know how to deliver packages to large complexes... even when I include instructions on how to get in).

Had plans to start with Maple last night since I didn't max. However, I didn't get home until after my designated "start" time. So, it's going to have to wait until tonight. Grey maybe tomorrow. Andrew Bell mentioned blending the two and I'll have some leftover BTM to try.

I just put a bottle of BT Pistachio in the fridge, but didn't have my Mustachio shipped yet.

So, the new shipping process isn't the most intuitive if you're used to the old method. Since I ship almost 100% to NorCal, here is what I've noticed.

I would always cellar since I wait to put together a 12 bottle shipper for cost effectiveness. When I get enough bottles, I would purchase a 12 bottle shipper and make a note which orders I want to ship with it. I have had "other" items shipped in the box including merch as long as there was space (a glass in place of a bottle). Shipping was always overnight, but it would take days to sometimes weeks for the order to get processed.

Now, when I'm ready to ship, I move the cellared bottles back into the cart. That's where it seems less intuitive, but it makes sense. Once you select shipping it appears that the system automatically calculates the freight cost. I forgot if the max was 9 or 12 bottles, but I had 9 bottles in my cart and it gave me a 9 bottle price ($23). I bumped it to 12 bottles and it gave me the 12 bottle price ($28). I assume if I had 10 or 11 bottles it would also give me the 12 bottle price.

The auto freight calculation seems to be where the current deficiency is. If I try to ship 3 bottles, it's $15. If I try to ship 1 bottle and 2 cans, it's $30. The system is probably calculating both a bottle box and a can box. When, in all reality, they can ship my 3 items in one bottle box. Not sure if this can be programmed out or if it's going to require human intervention if you're trying to do this.

I had a box delivered today as well. Lots of goodies I'm excited about!

Started with the BT Maple. It's super good. The maple is VERY flavorful and tastes great. Clear difference from regular BT, but also not way off the reservation.

It's a lot sweeter than regular BT, but not over the top like Bierbara or Apple Falls Far. Sweetness is maybe on par with the Anniversary ales (especially bottles with lower carbonation since that makes the sweetness stand out more).

It's very mellow for fresh BT and dangerously easy drinking.

    Awesome variant in my book!
