I also drank a BT Maple today, it’s killer!

Also had a BT Maple tonight. I was concerned the maple would be overpowered by the heavy hitting ABV but it came through very nice and sweet (just the right amount). I highly recommend picking up a few if you are a fan of BT variants.

Yep, BT Maple here too. Out of the bottle it pours more viscous than regular BT. Also the mouthfeel is thicker and creamier, which was nice to see.

Fridge cold it's all BT up front with a maple sweet aftertaste. It still retains that burnt toast bitterness that counters the sweetness on the finish. As it warms, the maple moves forward in the sip and the roast mellows. It's sweet. Sweeter than CBS. But not cloyingly sweet like No Rules. I wouldn't call it the best BT variant, but I enjoyed it a lot. Smooth and easy drinking with very little ethanol considering how fresh it is.

I found the aroma didn't change much as it warmed. Definitely BT with a hint of maple.

I'm super jealous of everyone that lives closer. Since I moved to Oregon I only get down there once a year to pick everything up.

How far are you from the border? Notwithstanding covid and fires making this idea questionable at the moment, is there a mailbox store just over the border that would accept a shipment on your behalf? With the new cellar feature you could curate just the portion you want to try now.

I've thought about that, but I'm up in Portland and the closest place that would have something like that would be Weed, which is like 5.5 hours away.

    Since you brought it up....

I am very happy with the changes made due to the Chocolate Reign roll out.

As much as I enjoyed Chocolate Reign, I am happy to have sacraficed extra bottles, to get the 24 hour Hoarder window.

    Love that change.

Thanks everyone. I guess it wasn't like I wasn't going to max em...considering what it is and the great pricing. But I was curious.

Agreed! I think Chocolate Reign-gate ‘19 was a wake up call for Society staff... and it’s honestly been nothing but awesomeness since!

I’ll pour one out for Buck tonight :joy:

Black Tuesday Maple is delicious and absolutely dangerous. Doesn't taste anywhere near a 17% beer

Did a Gray-Grey(‘19 can) side-by-side... I hope we get a second chance at allocations on this one... HO-LY CRAP! Glad I maxed!

So, what you're saying is keep an eye out for more 2019 Grey Monday cans. Cool, thanks for the tip.

Actually, I tasted oxidation from the GM can. Maybe it’s because I had Gray first, but definitely got some oxidation.

What I love about BT Maple is that it accentuates the maple flavor that I always get in regular BT perfectly. It’s a world class beer. If that beer was made by a currently hyped brewery it would be a straight up whale!

Well let’s get The Bruery hyped up again! It’s definitely been a Renaissance this past year!

I’m curious to see the new stout next year. If that is solid, then maybe Bruery can reclaim some hype.
