Thank you to everybody who chimed in, some great points and definitely helped to make the decision to hold off until some reviews and feedback come out.

 

Ddb & the guys reviewed the stout on malt couture episode 114. Give it a listen, basically said it was remarkably similar to JO's

I can't speak for everyone in the membership, but from the conversations in the group I think the majority of the people joined because they really respect Brad as a brewer and all around great human (already done a ton of give aways / donations for fire relief campaigns in the region).

On top of that you get a membership that is dedicated and focused solely on barrel-aged stouts and barleywine. Only 2-3 releases per quarter which means it's not an overwhelming amount. Based on photos before the membership was even released you knew you would be getting beers from VSOP brandy, apple brandy, Weller, Willet, etc. barrels which meant variety wouldn't be an issue. I'd say those were the biggest contributions as to why people joined.

 

Yeah I don't doubt there are those in it for beer. But you know as well as I do...there's the ugly side of it

 

With all the negativity surrounding a lot of things lately I find it better to focus on the positives, especially when they outweigh the negative.

 

I’d say 2:1 for the north park beer would be fair. You’re significantly overpaying, and I’m saying this as a PP member. I think each is currently worth around 150 each. Bottles were each 3pp per member

 

That's nice. But doesn't take away the reality of it.

 

You're right, you're absolutely right about everything you said because it really only takes one person for you to be correct. But then I guess you could say that about every sought after beer memebrship and that's an unfortunate way to view the community (especially when its the vocal minority). But I guess you and I just have different philosophies. Cheers!

 

I didn't disagree with anything you said. I believe you are right that the majority joined for the love of the beer. But it doesn't mean that there are not some in it strictly for the value alongside the mentioned majority.

 

1 Weller Special Reserve : 1 Adjunct Trail?

I would be will to offer much, much, more for the BA Adjunct trail but want to get a taste of the current market. Or are we talking close to a Weller 107 or Weller 12 to close that?

 

I am thinking closer to 107, and may still need a small plus. SR does not have much trade value as the cost is low and is readily available.

 

There are no bottles of weller in VA at the moment and 41 bottles of SR just popped up in doylestown PA. OWA was online in PA earlier but those are gone. There is definitely demand, just depends on the location.

 

3F platinum blend. Anyone know much about this. Should it being seeing distribution? I feel like the only people holding these right now are the ones who got the latest Zenne set. Have no idea what value this has or what kind of production it saw.

 

If you're ISO you can order this right now on their website. Zenne went up and sold out today, whereas Platinum has been and is still available. It's a variety 12 pack of 4 Plats, 4 A&Gs, and 4 OGs.

 

Thanks Sabtos for the info, damn wish I knew about the Zenne as their Instagram doesn't seem to be up to date on that.

Pulpit rock Five for Eunoia b2 + BA Ambiente??

That'd be a nice offer from the Eunoia side. That pulpit rock beer I have not seen anyone parting with so really hard to say what it's going for given a lot of folks are throwing a lot out there to try and land it. GL
