Having tried all the Green City beers now I think overall it was probably not quite worth $180. Besides the Southern collab which I was not a fan of, everything was solid with a few gems like the West Coast collab which I thought was really good.

Enjoying the Green City BA v2 stout (coffee and vanilla). Great oak and coffee notes (not getting much vanilla), nice thicc texture, and most surprisingly it is barely sweet at all. Kind of reminds me of AleSmith Speedway (or what I assume a BA version of that would taste like). Hard to justify at this price point though.

Anybody try the Saturated Chroma who can weigh in on this very intriguing Citra/Mosaic combo?

Hop Deluge brings that melon but has a really nice citrus pith throughout.

Yeah I opened a can last night! It kind of has that orange note OH used to get from Amarillo. There wasn't any burn either.

Brooklyn Navy Yard Wegman’s had A LOT of DDH Broccoli on the shelves this morning. These are truly strange times.

Strange times indeed. They had a handful of four packs of Baby Diamonds for to-go at East One Coffee Roasters on Court St.
Coffee shops selling beer you can get down the street. I wish I had asked the price.

Shelf turds have only been getting better and better over the past few years!

It started with Wrench and Logical Conclusion, then King Sue, Heady, and Sip, then the 12% stuff including Short Throw and Timber Ales, now OH, Finback, Grimm, and whatever else!

Haha, I remember LOVING the original Amarillo so much for exactly that orange note. I bet I'd poo poo it real hard these days.

Also as much as I love Amarillo, I'm confused by Mosaic+Amarillo beers. There are so many good Amarillo dual hops that could be done, Citra+Amarillo, Simcoe+Amarillo, Cascade+Amarillo (Always Bet on Green back in the day was great!), among others.

SELF QUOTE WHATEVER, somewhere in that time span Bissell started turding up our shelves too!

Let's talk about how crazy NYC shelf turds are.
BCBS sits on our shelves all year. Boxed variants are still available around town at select spots! I have a friend in Michigan that I mule BCBS for because it's one bottle per person on the regular stout! Cases sit here. KBS, Parabola: both all over town. Look at the Drie Fonteinen we're getting! The Hommage and A&G will likely go fast, but Kriek and Gueuze have started to sit a bit longer and turd up the shelves. Tilquins: turds. Ale Apothecary: turds.

I think the silliest people in beer right now are those bemoaning the beer they get at a brewery (or buying that brewery's beer anywhere else) when so much other great beer is incredible locally with no fuss.

Other Half makes beautiful beer, I had my last FAQs tonight and it was delicious, but there's increasingly less reason to venture beyond your local bottle shop.

Dude. Amen. Appreciate what we got. I’m with you on that. I have a bunch of great beer in my house (OH included for sure) and a Suarez and a Threes (with a few 4s of Schilling) delivery coming. What a time to drink!

Its gotten to the point where when it’s the end of the night and I’ve got no shit to drink off. Even my low abv shit is good. Lol, 1st World problems indeed, but a problem nonetheless

Can't wait for Wegman's to put in an Other Half Endcap complete with a station where you can get your pic taken with a Broccoli Boy cutout

I stopped in at my local for the first time in about a month and was surprised to see they had EQ and OH cans. They weren't marked up too bad either at $25/4 pack. Not bad considering Brooklyn is about 2 hours away for me. The EQ was unfortunately sitting out on a shelf and not in their cooler. I would have picked some up if they were kept cold, but I wasn't about to chance it in light of what we've been discussing over in the EQ thread.

Space Diamonds on Instagram story. We should draw straws to guinea pig.

OK I did virtual drawing of straws. @jrnyc you’re up. This was a fortuitous outcome; being Finback’s number one (and also oldest) fanboi I’m sure we’ll get an objective opinion.

Someone wants to go get the beer and deliver it here, I am game. Last batch I had was pretty good, wouldn't mind having some but not going to make that journey to OH to get it.
