It's tasty. Here right now. Strawberry is the fruit additive. Pretty well balanced and doesn't have that heavy tartness a lot of fruited stouts can give off.

PBJ curvature was not good... bitter choco and PB powder. Kind of gross tbh. Struggled on 5oz

I didn't get any of that... Found it quite delicious and one of the better PB&J concepts I've had but hey, that's why beer is subjective.

Peanut flour is the adjunct right? I am not a brewer but I remember early PB stouts were subtle (Treehouse had one) but recent ones like PB Hype w/ Maplewood/Phase 3 have much more pronounced flavor

Can't confirm what P3's methods are. I'm not a brewer either but if I had to guess, I'd say yes, since peanut flour is easier and more stable than actual peanut butter. It's deoiled and probably more reliable in terms of absorbing the qualities.

According to our daughter's allergist, apparently it can be put in *anything*. So, I assume it would be much easier to work with.

Curvature PBJ was fantastic IMO. I really enjoyed it. Same creamy full bodied chocolatey base stout, nose is spot on PB&J slightly more pronounced on the PB than J but can definitely taste both. Silky smooth like all curvatures. Thought it was delicious and tried to go back for a second pour but it was 1 pp. So guessing it will still be on tap today given the small pour and 1pp limit. Went last night around 830 and it wasn't that busy still seats available inside and out.

A question regarding the silky smooth mouthfeel you noted.

I’ve recently begun reviewing beers “officially” here on BA. That means that i’ve Taken note of some tasting notes that I had not in the past. That said, I feel like I normally focus on mouthfeel quite heavily, even during your everyday Untappd reviews, especially with stouts.

I’m trying to think of a beer that I’ve had - especially a stout - that I might describe as silky smooth. I’ve had them pour that way, but I don’t think I’ve felt that.

Any suggestions on what stouts you might compare across the gradient from - totally not silky smooth - all the way up the ladder?

Oatmeal stouts typically have a velvety mouthfeel (smoothed out by the oat addition). I’ve probably used the term “silky” in the same way as velvety.

Body is different, but often people use them in the same context.

I'd put Central Water normal barrel aged stouts closer to the bottom, new BCS in the middle, and stuff from Topping Goliath and Bottle Logic up top.
Edit: For me I equate mouthfeel with thickness and how well it coats my mouth. I generally rate stouts that are not thiccc lower than ones that are higher.

I think about mouthfeel in two different categories, texture and body. Texture would relate to carbonation, creaminess, where the bitterness hits the tongue, things like that. Body is much more simple, it’s just how thick the beer feels.

Interesting. I've always thought about those in mostly opposite ways. I've always considered the body to be what it looks like, and the consistency (which, to a degree I guess is what you "feel" while drinking). Conversely, I've always thought about mouthfeel as texture. The best example of this (for me) in trying to show something that stands out is a perfectly done NE IPA, where the mouthfeel is pillowy, and almost floats across your tongue. This compares to (at @ktr5010 noted) the CW "brewers reserve" series, which I'd liken to "fucking close to water."

    Thanks for the input everyone.

Finally had Pixel Density (b11) and boy oh boy is that great. I can't believe this is just the beer they make all the time.

"Ugh... well, we’ve managed to elude Covid-19 as a company since it’s beginning, however just moments ago we were notified by one of our team members that they tested positive for Covid-19.
    .
While we just found this out minutes ago, we have already closed our taproom until further notice. We are implementing a plan to have all of our team members tested and they all will need to be negative for covid-19 in order to return to work. We will deep clean the taproom before reopening and will do our best to communicate to you as we move forward.
    .
We apologize for any inconvenience to anyone’s plans to come up here to hang out. We’ll see you all soon, when it’s safe.

Early rumors I created have all bottles of the latest 6 Eunioaia or whatever the f it is called releases infected with Covid so I'll trade a 6 pack of Miller or Miller Light (not Miller High Life unless you throw in extras) for a bottle to whoever is gullible enough to believe this goofiness I just posted.

If Eunoia is the last thing I can taste for a week, it’ll be worth it
