I walked over a couple weekends ago for a soft opening of sorts. Cool spot off the 606 with an adjacent coffee shop I feel I read somewhere is owned by a sibling or friend with a 2nd location in LA. I grabbed a maize beer to-go in a 16oz crowler. Decent enough I guess but not something I would ever seek out. Beer menu seems geared more towards euro styles. So I give them a year before they're pumping out hazies, fruited sours, and pastry stouts to stay afloat (mostly kidding).

Thought I heard its headed up by a brewer from Pilot Project in Logan, same with Odious Cellars...I believe.

Odious is brewing/selling from Pilot Project for the time being. I don't believe anyone there has any sort of stake in Pilot Project or is a brewer at Pilot Project. OC has been in the works for a real long time but that's perhaps for another thread.

That sounds familiar. Remember being told OC brewer is Siebel, Lagunitas and somewhere else maybe. I do believe he was the managing brewer at PP on a scale up brew for amateur brewer I know recently, but not completely clear on PP's business setup or org structure.

His last stop before Chicago to start OC was Wicked Weed. So yeah I dunno I'm just finding out all sorts of things about PP. Someone I know just told me last week that their old boss started it. Like everyone seems to have some weird connection to it.
