I don’t have the vaguest idea why @Xerlic but finding a 16oz+ Willi Becher is not easy. I’ve had 2 that were both part of collections gifted (I believe they were both Mikasa) to me and I broke them both in the last year and finding a replacement has been a bitch. The wholesale route is the only option I’ve seen but I don’t want 6 or 12 of them.

I smashed my Hudson Valley willi trying to get all the water out of it when I was cleaning it a few months back, i just stood there with half it in my hand like god not again. Next time I stop at the brewery I can take a look if they have glasses out front as well @Xerlic

We had this discussion at Obercreek a few weeks back haha. I'm with you.

Thanks, that would be awesome. Once HVB reopens, I can check if they have willis too. I don't think they have any on their site.

Lol that’s right. I have like 3 WB glasses now but they’re all 16oz. I hate having to either drink the last 2oz out of the can or having to drink some and then pour the rest in.

At this point, I don’t know why the breweries aren’t making them bigger considering they’re all 16oz cans now (for the most part).

I assume overall the glassware manufacturers are targeting craft beer bars more, and they never pour 16oz. Even The Kane one they have now has the 8oz and 12oz markers, so clearly it's made with the brewery needs in mind from my perspective. Tekus only being in 14oz is equally silly, which I know I've complained about. I imagine the market provided by craft beer drinkers buying glassware isn't adequate to make pint options readily available/as cheaply.

I guess there won't be any news on anniversary brews this year then? We were out in NJ for our pick ups this week last year...

Still in the works but they have said they are not sticking to a traditional release schedule with what is going on. Also there are talks of them working on reopening the tap room as well, so I assume this may all come into play.

Personally I would not be shocked to see the anny beers this week or next with taproom info as well.

Yeah I assume we will see something around the next week or so on this. I am sure they wanted to clear out the pick ups for the two stout bottles and what not before starting the Anny process

Turtle’s Board is super interesting. Very light bodied and easily drinkable. The malt shines through nicely, like a lot of Kane IPA’s. The hops are earthy and herbal. But most interestingly, there’s something savory and almost briney about it.

I got something similar from Nectaron. I don’t really want savory in my IPAs. The nose was also a bit off and had a bit of a dishwater quality to it. Sounds like this one may be similar so I’m glad I passed on picking some up.

I wanted the chance to try Nectaron because I’ve never had the hop before. If this is an aspect of the hop it really came through in Turtle’s Board.

Good man. I still have 2 cans left so I’m hoping things improved a bit.

So, I revisited a can of Nectaron last night and its much improved from the initial one's I had right after it came out. More citrus/tropical fruit, not as in your face as some galaxy or citra beers, but more enjoyable.
