What's on the shelves in Connecticut? (2020)

OH has a Finger Lakes location. I’m not aware of them doing any contract brewing.

 

Sorry the contract brewery is in Clifton Park, possibly Shmaltz

 

It's the location that was bought by SingleCut last year. Sarene craft is running distribution.

 

Other Half opened a second location upstate (that they own) last year. Have you heard that they are contract brewing in addition to this?

 

Singlecut (who now owns the old Shmaltz facility) is absolutely not contract brewing for OH, I have NO idea what that person is talking about. The OH facility in the FLX is massive and they do their own brewing there. So some OH stuff is Brooklyn brewed, some FLX brewed.

 

Don't know if you had heard yet but besides the NYC and Rochester locations they are going to be opening a new one out in DC to. I have never heard anyone or have any reason to believe OH is contract brewed anywhere.

 

And a second Brooklyn location (In Williamsburg).

 

I saw this the other day when researching when I could get a delivery at my sister's in Westchester ... the CT news is interesting though not nearly the options of the delivery to Westchester (not surprising, of course).

 

Picked up some EQ & OH at Kindred in Shelton. Just a heads up.

 

Where was the OH brewed (chance to put this issue to rest)?

 

Which OH were available for how much please?

 

I picked up some DDH Broccoli and it was brewed at 24 Lakeshore Drive..... Canandaigua, NY. I believe it was $21.99 for the 4pk.

Also had Mosaic Daydream for (I think) $20.99.

 

CT Beverage Mart in Wallingford had DDH Broccoli and Mosaic Daydream earlier tonight as well. There wasn't a ton of it left, but it is sort of buried on the bottom shelf where you normally wouldn't look. Can't imagine it will last through Friday.

Sadly, no EQ.

 

The mystery deepens. Google puts Young Lion Brewing at this address. This appears to be not far from the OH finger lakes facility, but not at it (disclaimer: I don’t know the area). Certainly, it isn’t the facility Single Cut purchased.

So, is Young Lion doing some contract brewing for OH? Was this a one off or some sort of collaboration? Would not have thought OH had maxed out their facilities, but who knows?

 

Certainly seems like they are brewing at Young Lion. Clearly a different address than their facility (which looks about 10 minutes away). Interesting, I suppose. I'd just be happy to bump into some cans down here in Fairfield County. I've had a good amout of OH, but happen to not have had the two mentioned above.

 

Sorry, I misread what my buddy that works in the distribution system said. Yes, last poster is correct in regard to who is contract brewing for OH. I cracked my first DDH Broccoli last night and it was pretty dang tasty. It's exciting to see any OH (contract brewed or not) in CT. If OH puts the company name on it, it's gotta be up to the standards they have. Cheers!

 

this is false. All of the OH FLX brewed cans have blue tabs, distro or not. The OH Brooklyn ones have normal tabs

 

I got two cases, DDH Broccoli had regular tabs and Mosaic Daydream had blue tabs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fiddlehead soon. Not so sure about Heady.
