Picked up both hop showers (along with ghost) - edge to galaxy on both nose and swallow, finding the citra astringent but by no means bad

My Citra is smooth as hell. Maybe slight tingle. not a burn. Should age well. I'm thinking I like HS Cita better than Ghost actually. Both are very good though.

Yeah to be clear I mean slightly bitter - no burn here, agree on the slight tingle but not enough to dock it much

I think I like the Citra better. Galaxy is good but it’s still not prime galaxy that we’re all pining for.

Coming in peace from Chicagoland! We had a splash drop this summer from OH that included regular Broccoli. The label said brewed at 24 Lakeshore Dr, Canandaigua, NY. I have a friend this week who picked up a bunch of OH from their Wisconsin splash drop and both DDH Broccoli and DDH Green City are brewed in Canandaigua. Since it is so close to their FLX location, maybe they jump over to Young Lion to brew batches when they're at capacity?

I believe they consider Canandaigua to be the FLX brewery even though it is technically Bloomfield.

This may be true, but the 24 Lakeshore Dr address appears to be Young Lion, not OH FLX.

Not a local obviously, but from the drops we have gotten I have seen labels listing brewed in Brooklyn, Bloomfield, and now Canandaigua recently. Seems the Canandaigua beers are used for out of state distro. I am not familiar at all with Young Lion, but again with the Bloomfield brewery so close I have to imagine they pop over there for more brewing capacity.

Picked up ACE experimental v2 and hop showers galaxy. THis version of ACE is good for a one off, enjoyable to drink. Hop showers galaxy was excellent

Ha! So I got GITM, Super Relaxed, All Simcoe, & Citra Hop Showers. I thought GITM was really good, one of the better beers I got from OH recently. All Simcoe was very good as well, not peak FS style, but I would go back for more. Super Relaxed did have a TON of Melon, to the point where I wasn't enjoying it as much. Where Go With The Flow has it and it melds well, I felt Super Relaxed all I could taste was super over ripe melon. I didn't open the HS yet, but there is always tonight.

Any news on the contract brewing? I'm genuinely curious, especially since the BK location has so much beer all the time. Certainly not complaining though, anything that keeps our *original* stock away the CT investment bankers is a good move in my book.

There seems to be lots of ongoing speculation in the thread I linked earlier, involving different addresses on cans and different color-coded ring pulls. So far it would appear they may be brewing at Young Lion's facility (another brewery close to the FLX location). Whether that is Contract Brewing, or some sort of pre-existing and/or temporary capacity situation relating to the upstate location, remains to be seen/confirmed. But yeah it would be a bit odd if they were contract brewing, when the BK location has 8,205 different beers available.

I was hoping there was going to be some sort of QAnon tie-in. The simplicity of the answer is mildly frustrating

The real story is that Lake Ronkonkoma Beverage stole the Other Half Secret Formula and started flooding the CT market with cheap knock-offs.
