Side Project / Shared (2020)

I think this discussion happening at a share is relevant because while I love SP some of their stouts are really only practical if you have 3+ people to tackle them. Meanwhile I've killed bottle logic stouts solo. I haven't had some of their newer offerings though, which I've heard are pretty thick

 

Check out the beer and brewing "master class" Cory did. Seems like something you'd enjoy. He hops the BA stouts at higher rates and ages them much much longer than most places as well.

 

Def depends on the beer. Coco Vibes B2/B3/BA i want no more than 4-5 oz of but i can solo dome BBT2/3 D13 etc no problem.

 

This is something that Goose Island does as well. They are the first I’ve heard of using that technique, since they’ve been BAging forever now. Not sure how pervasive this technique is among brewers/breweries. I’m curious. It’s always been said that you should have no desire to taste the stout before it enters the barrel; terrible.

Not a regular Sunday but it's been done before.

 

Fact. Brewed the recipe laid out in the video by Cory. It's around six months old and it's still harsh and bitter. But it's starting round out a tad. I have high hopes.

I’m pretty impressed with them so far, about 2 releases a month it looks like, though they have slowed down a tiny bit

 

2017 was the same way, one of the first times I was able to trade for one of their upper lever saisons with reasonable trades. Think I still got one. That beer is awesome!
