I'm starting to think your wife keeps you locked up in small room in your basement and feeds you awesome beer

Same beer. I think? Mines the retired 12 oz. version but from what I can tell the only difference is the size.

Tonight was a a pretty decent night for beers. Started off with my first ever Ithaca Flower Power, which is my favorite IPA to date. So citrusy and bitter, with just the right amount of malt bitterness to balance it without taking the spotlight off the real stars... the hops!
Then I moved on to a Dogfish Head Festina Peche. It kind of reminded me of the Welches sparkling peach flavor without the sweetness. Okay, but I don't think I would buy it again.
Third in the line up was a Celebration Ale. Always a solid choice, though I personally think it is a bit overhyped. It's just a little one-dimensional. I would personaly take a Torpedo or Northern Hemisphere over Celebration any day.
Finally ended off with my last Devil Dancer. It was good, but I can't wait until next year when I can experience it fresh.

Just got back from dinner at the bar, where I was lucky enough to get the last pour of Fou Foune, plus Cantillon Classic Gueuze and Single Barrel Lambic #2, and then a Bruery Smoking Wood

Enjoying this one from danedelman. Beautiful color, i could stare at this beer all night. there is a deep red/purple in the deepest parts of the glass that thin out to almost a hot pink around the edges. Lots of funk and wheat on the nose. The taste brings a nice lactic sourness with a hint of wheat, the blueberries don't come into play until the finish which is tart and dry with some slightly vinous character. The high level of carbonation helps keep this extremely drinkable with an almost prickly feeling on the tongue. Overall a spectacular beer

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I didn't hear of Brubeck's passing until I got home from work this evening. What a joy to listen to his music! "Time Out" will live forever. "If music be the food of gods, play on!"

On a lighter note, it wouldn't be WBAYDN without a song to listen to.

Drinking a Greenville Pale Ale by Twin Lakes Brewing... A fairly obscure Pale Ale, but amongst the best out there... Also wanted to acknowledge Dave Brubeck who passed away today - one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time... Time Out was the album that made me a lover of jazz music... Cheers...
