Reservations are open for Alberta. Wasn't sure if one had more taps than the other or if Alberta was the main spot?

Both places are pretty similar for number of taps. Their current taplists are on Untappd. You can view the lists on their website also. Unlike so many other places they actually keep it updated.

    Upcoming Drops

    Fruit Monster: Mango, Guava, Passionfruit
    (5.5% abv) $20/4pack
Fruit Monster is back to cause some mayhem, this time with a marvelously tart blend of mango, guava, and passion fruit. It’s scary good. *does not contain lactose

    Marshmallow DBS
    (9.1% abv) $22/4pack
Shakes on shakes on shakes over here at GN! We are fluffing up our OG Double Berry Shake recipe, combining Oregon marionberries, vanilla, and marshmallows in the latest batch. Pillowy and sweet, we know you’ll love this tart ale. *contains gelatin

    Ledge Bier
    (5.1% abv) $15/4pack
Classically crisp and clean as a whistle, Ledge Bier is perfectly drinkable for any occasion. Hallertau and Saaz hops offer a gentle bitterness to this German-style pilsner while a pleasant malt character balances things out.

    Guava Jr.
    (6% abv) $20/4pack
A tropical spin on your favorite Mosaic IPA, we added buckets of guava puree to the mix in this hazy.

    Mango JB
    (8.2% abv) $20/4pack
Why should little brother have all the tropical fun?! We amped up our JB recipe with an infusion of mango for a hazy DIPA crammed with tropical pine and citrus flavors.

    Fresh Hop Harvest

A HUGE thank you to our friends at Coleman Agriculture, who showed our brew team around the farm during this year's fresh hop harvest. Growing 24 different varieties of hops on 2500 acres of farmland, Coleman is passionate about fostering ties between brewers, growers, and suppliers to produce beer of the highest quality. Learn more about their farms, mission, and history on their website, and check them out on Instagram. Here's a peek at that team on harvest day!

Hey friends, we want to know what you want! Hop on over to Instagram to take the poll in our stories today, and let us know what you would like to see more of over the coming months. IPAs, sours, or stouts - what's your poison?

    Georgetown Patio

A big thanks is also due to our Seattle friends as we get Georgetown drops going! We are definitely feeling the love, and we are hyped to officially open our doors next week. Starting Wednesday, 9/16, we will be open seven days a week from 12-7pm for app pickups, walkup to-go beer purchases, and tap pours. We can host up to 18 people at a time on our patio, so make sure to reserve your spot! Seatings are available every day at noon, 2, 4, and 6 pm for parties of six people or fewer, and all members of your party must be over 21. You may bring outside food onto the premises provided that you pack it in and pack it out - we also plan on offering some snacks in-house soon.

You MUST have a reservation to be seated (no walk-ins for now, sorry!). Check out the Georgetown page on the app to book your slot and see more guidelines before your visit, or you can make a reservation here.

On a more somber note, we are heartbroken by the the destruction being wrought in our own state as well as up and down the entire West Coast. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time. Stay safe out there, and we will see you next week.

    Happy Friday, everyone!

What a week it's been! New beers and weekend service updates ahead.

    Upcoming Drops

    Jammy Pants: Blueberry and Passionfruit
    And
Jammy Pants: Blueberry, Raspberry, and Marionberry
    (7% abv) $20/4pack
We are still riding the Jam train this week, with two new versions of our berry favorite beer! Jammy Pants: Blueberry, Raspberry, and Marionberry is the perfect blend of late-summer berries, while Jammy Pants: Blueberry and Passionfruit mixes it up with a tropical wildcard.

    Love and Ritual
    (7% abv) $18/4pack
What makes a good beer? For all the quality ingredients and high-tech machinery, we know that the best brews are the result of passion, patience, and attention to detail. To celebrate what we love most about beer, we are bringing back Love and Ritual, a hazy IPA with Citra, Sabro, and Nelson hops.

    Key Lime Momo
    (7% abv) $20/4pack
Mo’ lime, no problem! Our classic Momo is double dry-hopped with Motueka, then amped up with the addition of sweet, tart key lime.

    Berry Pusher
    (5.6% abv) $20/4pack
Berry Pusher is a fruited sour packed with all the goods - fluffy flaked oats, a cascade of wildflower honey, and of course juicy strawberries and blueberries. This one will definitely have you coming back for more!

    The Sound

It’s official - Georgetown is open! You can pay us a visit for draft pours or to-go beer everyday between 12 and 7pm. Seattle drops are in full swing, and our second Seattle-exclusive beer drops at GN Georgetown on Tuesday! The Sound is a double IPA brewed with a trifecta of delectable hops: Citra, Amarillo, and Vic Secret. (8.3% abv) $20/4pack

You also get a first look at another of our new Seattle-local GN characters. The Sound features Sal, a hardworking fisherman. Sal is a Georgetown original, sticking it out through the ups and downs over the years. A rough-and-tumble scene kid in the 90’s, Sal eventually went to UDub to study environmental science and policy. Today, he is passionate about sustainable fishing practices in his hometown.

    Air Quality

We have been keeping a close eye on the hazardous air quality this week, and we will continue to monitor the situation over the weekend. As of right now, all taprooms are open for to-go beer pickups. The weather looks like it will be drizzly - yay! - but if you are willing to brave the rain, come by for a beer! Alberta, Beaverton, and Georgetown will again open their patio reservations again today and through the weekend.

We've never been so happy to see a rainy day! Stay safe out there, and we'll see you next week!

    Upcoming Drops

    Passionfruit Mochi
    (7% abv) $20/4pack
Collecting this passionfruit might not pay off any debts to certain tricky tanuki, but this milkshake IPA is a delight - no bells required. A tantalizing union of passionfruit, milk sugar, coconut cream, vanilla, and toasted rice make Passionfruit Mochi a treat.

    Juice Jr.
    (6% abv) $18/4pack
The Juice is on the loose! Juice Jr, everyone’s favorite flagship IPA, is back with tons of Mosaic haze to quench your thirst.

    Triple Berry Shake
    (10% abv) $22/4pack
We are holding tight to the last bit of summer goodness and serving up more berries than you can shake a stick at. Triple Berry Shake is deceptively smooth tart ale brewed with a heavenly trio of black currant, boysenberry, and Marionberry and rounded out with a dash of vanilla. *does not contain lactose

    Mail Owl
    (6.7% abv) $18/4pack
So nice, we did it twice! We are bringing back the west coast style IPA collab with Fort George Brewery. Brewed with Strata, Citra, Simcoe and Sabro hops, this beer is a tribute to the USPS and its vital role in our communities, especially as we get closer to election day. Here in Oregon and Washington, we are lucky to vote by mail, so make sure your registration is up-to-date to receive your ballot. Not registered to vote yet? The deadline is 10/13 in OR and 10/26 in WA (by mail) to be eligible to vote in the upcoming General Election, so get on it and let’s vote this November! Find more info here (OR) and here (WA), but a quick Google search will also point you in the right direction.

    Cousin Larry

He may be hairy, but Larry’s not so scary. Sasquatch Jaime’s crepuscular cousin is the next member of the GN Seattle character crew making his debut. Larry loves fruit and friends (even if he has a hard time making them)! Prone to honking loudly and startling passersby with his yellow stare and massive wingspan, his fearsome fangs are luckily used for tearing into local Washington apples and berries rather than flesh.

Larry’s signature brew Squatchbat Larry is a tart ale with blackberry, boysenberry, and vanilla, and it won’t hang around for long. This one drops only in Seattle next week, so get ready to fire up your app!(8% abv) $22/4pack

    Food!

Now that our patio spaces have opened, we don’t want y’all to go hungry! Starting today (9/25), we are offering limited menus at the Beaverton and Alberta taprooms. We are mixing up Beaverton’s barbecue menu with tacos and sides! And over at Alberta, you’ll be able to nosh on classic GN burgers and wings. Both locations will have vegetarian/vegan options as well. Because the kitchens at these two locations are up and running again, there will be no more outside food allowed on premises. You will still need a reservation for seating, so click here to book your table!

Come by for a bite, and we'll see you next week!

Flying to SeaTac (from LAX) next Friday. Didn’t know GN had a Seattle location. Looks like they are open for reservations and take out. I don’t think I’ll have time to sit and enjoy their beers. I’ve had a few of their cans from drops in SoCal area. But looking forward to some fresh cans to go and bring back home. Not into the sour thing. Hopefully they have some IPA’s when I’m there. And it looks like they have a new collab west coast being released.

    Upcoming Drops

    Luminous 03
    (5.5% abv) $20/4pack
Tune in and open your mind to the resplendent force of Luminous 03. Brewed with strawberries, vanilla, and milk sugar, this sour IPA has all the heavenly appeal of ripe, fleshy fruit plunked into mounds of silky cream.

    Shepherd of the Forest
    (8.3% abv) $20/4pack
Just as the early morning mist rises amid the slumbering trees, a golden haze abounds in Shepherd of the forest. Brewed with Vic Secret, Strat, Galaxy, and Citra hops, this DIPA is a tonic of wildness, delightful as the cool, over-canopied woods.

    Seedless
    (6% abv) $20/4pack
With a last gasp of quivering heat descending on the PNW this week, we decided to cool off one last time with Seedless. A salty, herbal bite balances the candy-like watermelon sweetness in this fruited gose.

    Afterglow
    (7% abv) $18/4pack
The sunsets are coming earlier, but the warmth of summer still lingers in the air and Afterglow offers a path to serenity. Our West-Coast style IPA is brewed with California ale yeast and a dynamic pairing of El Dorada and Mosaic hops.

    Insurgente

Liberen al búho (Free the Owl)
    (7% abv) $20/4pack
This IPA with mango and guava is a special collabo with Cerveceria Insurgente in Tijuana, who have been faced with a series of shutdowns over the past year because the governor’s brother lives across the street from the tasting room. In their own words - "Since October of last year, the governor in Baja has had us shut down with a series of made up accusations...claiming everything from lack of permits, health and environmental hazards, corruption, and more. We've been fighting back both in the public sphere as well as in the courtrooms, but everytime we win a lawsuit the government comes back with another department to shut us down...We're hopeful that we will be able to open as soon as he's gone and are committed to fighting this injustice until he is.”

    Spooky October

It’s almost spoOoky Halloween, and at Great Notion, that means a bevy of hair-raisingly good seasonal beer. We are stocked with treats (or tricks?) to brew up cauldrons full of your October favorites. Could this be the year we finally venture into *gasp* pumpkin spice territory? Only time will tell! One thing is certain - this year’s lineup is so devilishly delicious you’ll be howling for more.

Whether it’s the nip in the air or the tell-tale sign of a ghostly presence, keep the chill at bay with our limited edition fall merch collection, debuting on the app in the coming weeks. More pics and deets coming soon, but we are super hyped about the new goods!

    A-YO, Adrian!

Yo Philly fam! Heads up - Great Notion is coming at you, so be on the look out for Guava Jr. and Mango JB (both fruited versions of our Juice IPA series), as well as Fruit Monster: Mango, Guava, Passionfruit to satisfy you sourheads. Timbercrew Updates

Level up, level up! Y’all are racking up the points and we are ready to dish out the rewards. For those who might not know all the deets, we will be checking the Timbercrew rolls at the beginning of each quarter (Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, and Oct 1) to determine who made rank for any perks over the the following three month period. Now that we are past the deadline, we are having fun cooking up some excellent rewards!

Brushhogs - Beanies are en route! Anyone who is a Brushhog or above as of Oct 1 will soon be able to pickup up their hard-earned Brushhog beanie at long last. We will be sending out an email soon with more details about how to reserve and collect your beanie, so keep an eye on those inboxes in the next couple of weeks. For those who might be right on the cusp of ascending to the next level - don’t worry, we’ll do the next round of distribution in January for newly minted Brushhogs.

Whistlepunks - Our barrels are getting closer to tapping time, and everything is tasting pretty phenomenal. Whistlepunks will have early access to purchase an upcoming barrel-aged stout, and we’ll send you all an email with all the deets once we land on the barrel most worthy of all you rad peeps.

Timberbeasts - COVID is really pushing our creativity into overdrive as we plan our very first Timberbeast day, and we are stoked about what we have come up with. Mum’s the word for now, but be sure to save the date - 12/5/2020 - and we’ll be in touch with specifics soon!

We will be adding new prizes and levels as time goes on, with even more dope (and exclusive) rewards. If you missed the October cutoff, don’t worry - there’s plenty more to come!

Thanks for all the love, folks! We'll see you next week!

    GN International

We may be hunkering down in the PNW while COVID continues, but we’re sending our beer out into the world for some grand adventures!

Closer to home, the Bay Area will be getting a drop of cans including Berry Pusher, Jammy Pants: Blueberry, Raspberry, Marionberry, and Triple Berry Shake.

Further afield, Japan will see a huge haul with a combo of kegs and cans. Look for the following soon: Jammy Pants: BRM, Passion Fruit Mochi, Triple Berry Shake, Liberen al Buho, Seedless, and Berry Pusher.

Our annual trip to Copenhagen for MBCC was sadly cancelled, but Denmark will at least receive a shipment of cans of Jammy Pants: BRM, Shepherd of the Forest, Passion Fruit Mochi, and Afterglow. No word on when you can plan to pick up these beers just yet, but they are on their way!
