Saw it was still on even before this post...might be the best beer I’ve had from you guys...which is really saying something. Tastes like uber fresh Pilsner Urquell...only better.

Crisp, snappy hop profile then that sweet bready malt hit, followed by a nice bitterness coating the tongue on the finish. Nice clarity on this one too.

Dang- I wonder if I can convince my wife to take a trip to the beach and just happen to stop by Notch because... "you know, it is kind of on the way"

Oh man this beer would have went GREAT with tacos.

If only there was a great Mexican place nearby...

Made the mistake of trying to meet a friend on Saturday afternoon. I should have known when I started hitting traffic outside Salem that it was going to be a no go. I've always avoided October but I thought it might be ok this year. I was wrong. When I finally made it to Notch, looked to be maybe 30 or 40 people in line for spots at the biergarten. I'm glad Notch is doing well but I'm not into that mob scene.

We noped out of there quick, ended up at granite coast instead. Dark mild was nice but didn't make up for missing out on pitch lined pils and the oktoberfest...

Same lesson I learned last year. Never again in October. We went up again in November around Veterans Day and had a great time.

I went Friday mid afternoon. Minimal traffic to get there and plenty of space in the Biergarten. A Saturday and Sunday will be tough.

My rule of thumb if I’m going to Notch on the weekend, weather is good, and timing allows for it, is that I try to arrive for open or shortly before. This usually puts me a step ahead of any line that builds as the day goes on with those conditions.

Yeah, I wish that had been an option. Between family and work responsibilities and trying to meet a friend I screwed myself. Oh well, maybe I'll get to try pitch lined pils #3...

I hear you. I should have stated that all things on the home front have to be in place for me to make it out the door in my situation. I’m holding out for a shot at #3 as well.

I've been on the weekend plenty of times (not in October) at all kinds of hours and can't think of a time I encountered a line.

Maybe I just lucked out. This was of course also pre-pandemic.

Is there any way to get Lost in the Dream in my fridge besides going to Salem? Did it/will it go out for distribution at all?

No distribution, but if you leave now you’ll get to enjoy some on a very New England fall day at the biergarten on Sunday.

I've only seen the Kolsch out in the wild aside from their regular offerings.

Everything else seems to be brewery only.
