Anyone have that Mikerphone chicken and waffles beer so this guy can do a side by side?

 

I wish I liked Dark Lord half as much as I like Dark Lord Day.

 

Why do I already feel like they already had this same DLD this year?

 

I got to try a pour of it once, I took a small drink and immediately puked. I actually preferred the taste of my own vomit to it. I think I gave it a rating of 1 and gave my vomit a 2.25.

Yeah that beer was a hard pass for me, especially after I found out that they just bought out two Jewel’s fried chicken. I don’t trust Jewel’s frozen meat, let alone their “cooked” meat.

 

I mean...they're boiling the shit out of it either way.

Fried Jewel chicken is lower down the list of reasons why I don't drink Mikerphone beer, but that's just my dog palate.

 

What are the odds that they brewed a lot less DL than they would in a normal year? Obviously people aren’t flying across the country or from other countries to come to DL Day this year. My suspicion is this might sell out quickly.

Also, what are the odds but they have a special release separately at the brewpub that week? I will put in a vote for Rye’da Tiger.

I think they made a similar amount as in years past. I just think the demand in the Midwest is still strong for these beers. I know it'll sell out fast, just like the July sale did. It's still the same numbers.....12,000 totes over 6 days. Maximum of 2 totes, so potentially only 6,000 buyers. You can't tell me this will last for 15 mins. It'll be gone in under 60 seconds.

 

People don't travel across the country to pick-up beer like they do for a festival. DL tickets are available for a good couple of hours and the vintage release tickets didn't sell out in minutes. I would expect these will last.

You think it will sell faster than the last several Dark Lord Days? I was able to still buy Group D or Group E tickets at 5pm the last 2 years.

Took a good 5-6 hours for DLD to fully sell out last few years.

 

Like I said, "We will see."

 

Alls I'm saying is that if you want a tote, I would be in right at 3:00 on that Monday. There is absolutely no way this sale goes 5-6 Hours.
