Community Beer Co. (Dallas) has this small batch series that crushes it every time they have a release.

 

Bought a few Belgian beers this week. First one up, St. Benardus Tripel Watou. One more for Eddie

 

Dig the glass, I have had wayyyyy to many Skull Crushers in Little 5.

Settling in for the VP Debate coming up in a few minutes. This should be an interesting one with two such opposing styles...one is soft spoken and the other one on the aggressive side. Cracked another can and grabbing a bag of popcorn.

Was grocery shopping this evening and saw that the winter/Christmas beers are starting to hit the shelves, lots of 2X Christmas already. I enjoy these beers but it would be nice to get through Halloween first...

Anyway, decided to open a Sly Fox Oktoberfest beer for the VP debate which I am sure will be calmer and less embarrassing than the Presidential debate (pretty sad when you think about it). This still remains one of my favorite Oktoberfest beers and is also a great all around beer...could drink during any occasion really.

Walked over to a neighboring brewery to grab a crowler for a box I'm sending out. They were just finishing some social media pics, and asked if I wanted a pint of the FestBier. Well, OK, if it helps you guys out.

Gruff Fest Beer was solid, nice grain, semi-sweet finish.
