I don’t believe in drain pouring barrel aged beers...or even Crack the Sky

 

Just for the record, we figured this out.

While the beer and the coffee beans were not barrel aged, the trucks that delivered Crack The Sky were, in fact, aged in gigantic Malort barrels.

I just want to head any controversy off at the pass.

 

Wait, then how is 18th Street Brewing's Big Bank Takes Little Bank made?

 

All jokes aside, I think this is the first reference to 18th Street Brewing I've seen on this forum in at least a year.

 

They should have call it Crack the Bank.

 

When does alpha Klaus release give or take?

Been keeping an eye out for this in distro, haven't seen it yet. Hoping I didn't miss it...

 

Seems like it hasn't hit Binny's yet. Just did a quick search on their website and it says that it's not available anywhere.

 

I just got back from the Binnys in Bloomingdale and they had about 6 cases stacked on the floor. Think it was like $17 for a 4 pack - i passed and instead grabbed a broo doo six pack

Having my first bottle now (I feel like it’s been so long since the last time I had it). Between this and Broo Doo, my fridge is now stocked with more 12oz bottles than it’s had in a long time.

 

Man I'm real pumped for this. Snagged up a couple 4 packs for this weekend. Good to hear it's just as good as people remember. Hopefully this will drop several times a year.

 

Picked up my cold 4 pack tonight and drank one already. Time to order more. It’s significantly better than Double Two Hearted if looking at beers and breweries trying to do similar things

 

Oh, Double Two Hearted is trash. Regular Two Hearted can't be improved.

 

I once brewed a double two hearted (we basically doubled the malt bill and triple plussed the hop bill on a two hearted clone recipe, called it four hearted) and it was pretty meh. I was stoked to try Bell's own take. I think mine was better

 

I don't doubt it.
