I heard you catch it from unprotected relations with uncleaned aluminum brew kettles, although I guess that would be more of a metallurgicaly transmitted disease.

 

By ingesting massive amounts...more than you would ever get from homebrewing.

Edit: water is also toxic in massive amounts.

 

If you inject Al into your bloodstream.

 

It would require chemical manipulation of the aluminum to make it accessable to your body. Not likely to happen outside of a bad horror movie.

 

Sprinkle aluminum chloride on your potato chips.

Or, just go full bore and do a shot of trimethylaluminum.

When I drank my first Heady Topper, it was so good that when I finished it I ate the can too. Not sure if I had aluminum poisoning but my stomache sure hurt.
