Pipeworks Brewing Company (2020)

Here is another refrigerator photo. Beers have been in the refrigerator since February 2020. Is that the 2018 Rohrwerker?

All these beers are | were intended for monthly bottle shares at Forbidden Root, but you can deduce what intervened.

anyone know whats going on with their BA offerings? its been a while.

 

New ninja dropped this week, Cryo Mosaic.

@csmakio Wish I knew, I miss their BA offerings. Hopefully they come back with a splash.

 

Cryo Mosaic is awesome. Dank AF aroma, dry and moderate bitterness on the finish. Not as much malt sweetness as other recent Ninja beers imo.

 

I really enjoyed Cryo Citra (more so than regular Citra). So I’m excited to try Mosaic. May have to pick a pack up today.

 

Mosaic Cryo is giving me Chillwave but like Chillwave on steroids

 

I hate to be wildly presumptuous (unless BA has changed A LOT since I've frequented it, I'm guessing this is still cool hahah) but does it seem that Pipeworks had to scrap their entire BA program?

We are approaching a full two years since the last release, I believe... So, even if they did drop something this winter any beers aged less than two years would've been started from scratch since the infection issue.

Anyhow, I can't wait for them to return. I have faith in the ol' dog to come back big again. Hard to believe there was a time when they were rivaling Goose for the best BA program in the city (IMHO) and have gone completely silent since then...

 

I definitely miss buying like a case of high quality BA stouts with no lines/Eventbrite and paying like $18 a bottle.

 

IIRC a lot of the Jones Dog/Abduction stuff was aged 18 months which would have then put the timeline of them overhauling their processes, brewing, acquiring new barrels, and getting it into barrels in the 6 month time range while improving upon their existing product which is something I imagine they'd want to do if they completely stopped their barrel program. I think we might be waiting until the spring. I haven't been to the dojo since I moved out of the city and with covid it's probably impossible to inquire. Usually they were awesome about talking about new stuff coming out if you asked. Like @Zoomslowik said it was so nice to casually go in to get a banger BA stout with zero hype whenever. Now I wish I had bought more when I had the opportunity.

 

If they can get BA Hyper Dog back to where it was, I'll buy a lot of that. Here's hoping!

 

Remember when The Abduction was available at the Dojo for like a year? I remember. And that beer was so damn good.

 

Pipeworks is on the list of brewers for FOBAB so hopefully that means something is on the horizon.

I'm sad I won't get a chance to run to the Dojo to try this batch, as I love all of the other PWs Cryo's. But they said they will be brewing a bigger batch of this again soon that should hit distro.

 

Every time I see a new post in this thread I think "I bet they announced some barrel aged beers".

Every time, I'm disappointed!
