Buying HopSlam at the Brewery (General Store)

    Hello. I know I'm waaaaay early on this, but I have a question. Are my chances of procuring HopSlam any better by going to the brewery direct (General Store)? I'm definitely up for a road trip if I know I'll score, rather than sit on multiple waiting lists and MAYBE get the call. And if so, are there limits? Thanks.

    Does it really sell out that fast in other markets? Here in Grand Rapids it seems like we have an endless flow.

    When it hit Milwaukee in Feb it was pretty damn plentiful for a few months.

    Relatively easy to walk out with a case. $66 out the door IIRC. They do not have a posted limited that I can recall.

    Hello. Yes, in my area (Chicago), especially last year, it was hard to hunt down. When there was a wait list, it was usually a 6-er limit. Thanks.

    Yeah Hopslam sells out quick at first, but once the initial "kick" dies off after a few weeks, you'll be able to find it without much trouble at all.

    EDIT: then again, I am only 1.5 hrs from the brew pub.... Perhaps the supply is more limited in Indiana.

    I know I can't get it on Cape Cod, but I do make regular trips to Waterbury Vt. too pick up some Heady Topper! Can we say "trade" anyone in Feburary

    honestly i don't get the hopslam hype. one six pack for me was more than enough. there's so many good IPAs around that i don't kill myself trying to get this stuff.

    edit: i've seen bottle shops trying to sell three month old hopslam singles for six dollars.

    Hello. Keep the responses coming. Last year, whilst I was able to aquire my needs, it was due to visiting at least 10 shops. I'd certainly rather make the pilgimage to K-Zoo. Thanks

    There are stacks of Hopslam at supermarkets in Kzoo/Michigan. I've also heard from a Bell's production brewery employee that they increased production quite a bit this year.

    Will not be a problem.

    They increased the brewery capacity a lot this year, the increased production follows.

    There is a TON of it throughout Michigan when it gets released. Very easy to grab, including at the General Store.
