So, they should brew it before the hops are harvested and dried? Add another term to the mix - green, wet, fresh and, now - immature.

That does pose quite the dilemma!

Maybe they could instead brew with hop stalks!?!:grimacing:

    Cheers!

Yeah, they could use the slogan (OK, it does need some work but, hey, I'm retired...):

"Unlike other craft brewers, only our hops are immature, not our brand names and labels!"

How 'bout a spring seasonal, brewed with hop shoots? They taste asparagus-like, as every hop grower know (I hope!) - I normally just eat mine raw in the garden* (similar to the first shoots of asparagus, now that I think about it).

*Same for early cherry tomatoes, scallions, radishes, blueberries, raspberries, arugula... damn, no wonder my garden harvest never seems large. I eat a good percentage of it while I'm out there...:grimacing:

Celebration Ale time! "it's the reason for the season", "it's the most wonderful time of the year...", etc. I could go on and on.

I do HOPE that it shows up this year locally, unlike the last Bigfoot.

Love love love this beer! Always look forward to it. Interesting, this is the one seasonal beer where nobody ever seems to complain about seasonal creep. It can't come soon enough!

Well, since this beer is brewed with dried hops from the new hop harvest of the year (hops in the PNW are ready for picking the end of summer/beginning of fall) there is only so much 'creep' that can occur.

    Cheers!

Last year’s was so good. Hoping this year’s is on par with it or better.

A huge batch of SN Stout?!? Finally!

I kid, I know most people equate the red caps with Celebration. But is sure would be a great Christmas present to see BOTH red-capped SN beers on shelves this winter!

I had a bottle from last year in my excess beer box down in my basement. I guess I never got to it. I drank one at cellar temp the other day. It was incredible. I mean, it was one of the tastiest beers I've ever had. I don't know what it was, maybe I was just in a good mood, but 10 month old (maybe more) SN Celebration at probably 58 degrees was an amazing experience.

Jesse, it has been my experience that Celebration holds up well over time. I think it is due to the combination of the beer being bottle conditioned and the fact that it is a 'balanced' hoppy beer (i.e., has a notable maltiness along with the hoppy aspect).

    Cheers!
