    Here's one!

Burial is highly over-rated. I'm not saying they're not good, but their brews are not better than other similar caliber breweries. They also are not that unique at what they're producing.

Besides, they were complete dbags about distributing their beer in SC. Pulling out the last minute, after all the things were in place. And wanting to distribute their own beer. Newsflash! Different states, different laws! Maybe they should've done their homework first.

The name of the brewery is inspiring though.

I find it very off-putting. One of my least favorite brewery names along with Belching Beaver, Hoof Hearted, Green Man, Ass Clown, SweetWater, Shebeen and Ciclops Cyderi & Brewery just to name a few.

How is this possibly a real brewery name? Why on earth?

Yep! And the label(s) don't look much better. Just did a quick Google search and there are at least 4-5 variations. One is bad enough, why have several?

    Do I have this straight?.

They're rated good by most people. You say they are good. Therefore they're highly over-rated?

And it's a bad thing that other breweries brew some of the same styles?

    Yup. Controversial.

Thanks for providing that link. I did listen to it and it was quite interesting to hear how they detailed the brewing water used to brew this German Pilsner. Kinda weird that Tree House would just use their 'normal' brewing water when brewing this beer (if that is indeed the case).

    Cheers!

I’d rather risk $4 on a lager. It seems like more places are botching hazy IPAs way harder than lagers, which is kinda funny given the different difficulty levels of brewing them. I’d take a sub-par lager over a sub-par NEIPA any day.

I won't even bother saying anything else to you other than this. You've always been this way, but getting worse as you get older.

To continue on the TH lager talk, I had Trail Magic a couple years ago and thought it didn't taste bad, but it was a terrible pilsner. It was soft like their IPAs and kind of toasty. It lacked the crispness that pilsners I like have. It definitely felt like an IPA brewer produced lager. I've heard people say good things about more recent lagers they've produced, so they may have upped their lager game. I just haven't experienced it for myself.

I don't know if I would include Oxbow with Notch or Schilling in terms of lager game in NE. They've been putting out some real nice beers but I don't think their technical level of execution is at the same level of a Notch. I love Oxbow for the record.

I recently bought a four pack of their black lager. I enjoyed it very much. Hadn’t heard of them before stumbling upon that four pack. Not even sure how I ended up reading the label as I always just assume four packs of 16 oz cans contain mediocre and overpriced IPAs.

Those are crap names, except for Green Man. That brewery started with traditional British ales. The Green Man is a forest figure in British lore. There are inns and pubs named the Green Man in England. The brewery has several depictions of him.

Is sweetwater a weed reference? I know a lot of their brands are weed references but I always thought the brewery name was a very good one and was a beer reference or a reference to good spring water

So, I guess you'd object to Lagunitas and Deschutes as well?

All three are named for a river/creek in the general vicinity of the brewery.
