Also, the initial complaint is that the beer should be updated "towards today's pallete" but the example cited is a change to maintain a price-point, which are very different reasons.

That is not the case with anti hero, the first example I gave that was not responded to.

antihero has changed several times. Hell, they’ve even changed the ABV. But Anti hero is far more driven by Citra now than it was 3 years ago

Last thing we need is more classic breweries pumping out shitty haze. Revolution ruined Farm To Fist by doing this.

Perhaps. I don't know what drove the changes to Anti-Hero and I drink it so infrequently (it's something I would get at a restaurant when it's the only IPA offered or when someone gives me one for free) that I don't remember it well enough to note the changes. But Anti-Hero is also a flagship beer designed to appeal to as many drinkers and get on as many shelves and menus as possible at a low price. It certainly makes some sense to tweak that recipe to meet those factors (something I would say that 3 Floyds needs to do with Barbarian Haze since they seem to want it to be that type of beer), although I still agree with the earlier statement that a major overhaul, while using the same name, is a bait and switch. But Permanent Funeral is, philosophically, a different type of beer than Anti-Hero. It's a specialty offering that is designed to appeal to drinkers who like what it offers, not to necessarily appeal to what the wider market wants. People who drink PF want it to be PF and it appears to be one of their more popular offerings, so I don't see the need to update it. That said, I'm certainly not saying YOU need to like it more than you do (taste is subjective) but I just think the reasoning that "I like other beers better so they need change it because other beers have changed" is flawed.

I had a Zombie Dust the other day, nice beer but have they considered making it hazy, making it a DIPA and triple dry hopping it?

Lacto, DDH Double ZD would be very interesting indeed.

Come to think of it, Dark Lord needs to get hazier too. This will make the crowd that buys six allotments, but does not actually like or drink the beer, happy.

I love Permanent Funeral. I just wish they'd make it a gin barrel aged sour brewed with cocao nibs, butterscotch and star anise for today's modern..."pallete"??

I had Gin barrel-aged Permanent Funeral! It was on draft at 3Floyds in 2016. I gave it a 4.0 and liked it, but my pallete wasn’t all that developed back then.

You know you can't misspell a word on the internet in 2020 and not hear about it.

    Region Radler
The Region Radler (Radlermass regionem) is a species of wheat beer endemic to Northwest Indiana. This is the only radler species in NWI, characterized by its distinct aroma of grapefruit and black lime. At 4.20% ABV it is the most venomous of its genus. No subspecies are recognized.

Had a bottle of PF last night myself (maybe my all-time fave FFF beer, but I hadn't had it in forever), and while the abv is a little more than I'm generally up for nowadays, I was impressed 1) by how well it holds up and 2) that FFF is still doing their thing. I don't buy their beer as much as I used to (mainly because I've been going hyper-local), but I have to tip my hat to their consistency.

Throwing my permanent funeral review into the ring. Haven’t had this beer in several years. What used to be a 1 bomber limit at binnys grand is now sitting in 4pks on the shelf at hyvee in Peoria, where I now reside. We’ve come a long way since 2014 - and for that, I am grateful. This beer is just phenomenal. Floral and citrus meets bitterness perfectly. Credit to Floyds for never changing this beer.
