Wait, what went on sale now and why didn't the good folks in this thread alert us?

It's a Deth preview event where you'll get to try Deths Tar, Cafe Deth, Maple Deth, and two single barrel Deths Tar offerings. They'll also have a presentation, with some Q&A at the end, along with the option to purchase your 4-packs early.

Super minor distinction, but it's the option to pick-up the 4-packs early. So you'd presumably still need to do the regular online sale next week

Again, wrong thread, but since it was mentioned here... I bought one over the past weekend. Haven't drank it yet. Noticed the canning date is 11/5/19. Why the hell would they wait 11 months afyer canning to release it?!

Wow interesting, just checked my cans and they have the same canning date of 11/05/19 as well, so I reached out to a friend who knows someone who works on the canning line at Destihl and yep it has been in the can for that long story is there was a loooong delay waiting for the labels. Cracking one now will report back.

Ok I'll pre- face this with I've had some great beers from Destihl but this was a miss for me. It poured amber like a Barleywine and I picked up some booze, caramel or even butterscotch on the nose, but went down hill from there. Medium mouthfeel and a little booze and molasses on the front end but absolutely nothing on the back end and no complexity whatsoever. I think the extended time in the can would have been better served staying in the barrel. Sorry to hijack the Rev. thread fella's now back into the Deep Woods.

I am enjoying this Destihl thread. Sorry to go off topic but does anyone know if/how/when we can order the next Deep Wood release?

I was distracted by the 11/05/19 canning date of the Binny's/Destihl collab.

Anyone get a Deep Woods mystery bag recently? Just curious if there’s new standard beers.

Anyone know if there are going to be changes to the next deep woods release in terms of allowing proxies?

I'd be really surprised if they did not allow proxies. Two reasons:

    1. Two of the three beers being sold, Deth's Star and Cafe Deth, they make a massive amount of and need people far and away to buy these.

2 By allowing proxies it limits the number of people coming face to face with staff. I live way out west and will proxy for 3 others. Rev only has to meet me instead of 4 people. With curbside pickup only it also will cut down on the number of cars in front of the brewery at any one time.

tldr: expect proxies to be allowed

Yeah, but Tar and Cafe see massive distro, also. There are Binny's that have Tar and Cafe on the shelves for like 6-7 months. Lol. I walked into a Binny's a couple weeks ago and there were still two 4 packs of Cafe on the shelf...

Did they not allow proxies for Thundertaker? I got mine from Binny's so I'm not sure what happened at Rev for that release.

They've allowed proxies for all releases so far. Thundertaker was a limit of 5 orders per pickup person and I think the rest have been the same.

Don’t foresee a situation where they don’t allow proxies this winter.

Yeah, it would make zero sense for them not to do so.

Is the taproom currently allowing people to bring in their own food?
