Anybody hoping 3F decides to let people buy an additional variant if nothing sells out?

It's probably unlikely but a guy can dream. (about most of those variants)

Are we sure the actual bottle is printed on? As opposed to a wraparound, shrink wrap style label?

We got it, man. You made your point.

You are now one of the "ass clowns."

Jokes on you! I've always been one of the ass clowns.

I've stayed strong in passing on DL this year, though. @Freshlike1980

It always is! I will say, if they ever do adjuncted? base beers (sans barrel) I’m all in. I popped a reg and added a quarter vanilla been for a few days and hot dayum that stuff made me get of the mower three times!

You just reminded me that I have some vacuum packaged Tahitian nilla beans sitting in my cabinet... that I completely forgot about. Thanks for that. I may do that to a reg BCBS or reg DL this weekend.

It would be a nice change to get a couple solid, adjuncted regular DLs once in a while. Like you said, they don't have to be BA. Just add some coconut or some nilla to some base beer to bottle up.

It wouldn't be a proper DLD thread without a bunch of BS for pages on end!

I have a feeling we'll be in a holding pattern for a couple weeks until someone inevitably gets 2 of the same variant (not a sexy one) and comes on here to complain.

Or when 3 Floyds decides what to do with all these leftover bottles...that'll be a good day too.

Loadstar could be bad. Real bad. I had it on tap at last years event and it was excellent. Opened a bottle of it about a month ago and it was a sweet mess. Got hardly any coconut in it and it was way too sweet. Adding maple syrup to that could be a disaster.

Group of friends did a big DLD bottle share back in March right before the pandemic really took off. This was my exact opinion of Load Star 7 months ago. Also thought it was excellent at DLD. Was one of the first beers of the day too, so I wasn't a complete mess with my perception on beer yet.

I'm with you. Had Loadstar in June and it was just ridiculously sweet. I like sweet beers, but this was just off the charts. I can't imagine that beer with syrup.......instant-diabetes.

Was one of our favorites on tap at DLD, also. We only got one out of the group of us, but I'm not sure if we cracked it yet. Usually our DLD variants get shared in our NYE share.

Last year Loadstar was another sweet wine barrel variant. This year bourbon and maple syrup sounds like an improvement to me. But the maple can always be overdone of course.

Yeah, I don't know that bourbon + maple barrels is going to be any sweeter than Sauternes (which is basically concentrated sugar syrup). Maple + bourbon + coconut sure sounds potentially delicious though. If Loadstar ends up not being too sweet, it's got a shot at "best variant" this year. It's the ultimate high-ceiling, low-floor variant.

Good point. I forgot Loadstar was wine barrel. It was frickin delicious on tap at DLD.
