That's fair, but didn't we get an IG story recently that mentioned brewing a rauchbier?

But the rauchbier isn't named after my favorite album...

But my insider information tells me that the next few beers will all be named after Taylor Swifts songs or albums, so ...

    FWWM, perhaps?

...and I'd love a beer named after a Taylor Swift song as much as I've loved beers named after Replacements and Piebald lyrics.

Cerne is expected for December, as well. As nice an option shipping is, I'm happy to drive from Worcester to weigh my car down with a few cases.

That drive up to Salem from where I live is a damn killer. Ordering beer through UPS is a game changer. I’ll be drinking a good bit of SA Celebration (when it arrives) and Notch for the next few months.

Sounds like the state/city are feeling much the same way Notch is. I wonder if throttling the tourist influx made the business decision easier for them.

    https://www.nbcboston.com/news/loca...unce-halloween-closures-restrictions/2215616/

"After adding new safety rules last week, Baker and Driscoll announced new, more stringent measures for the last two weekends in October, which are normally bursting with Halloween revelers, including early business shutdowns, road closures and travel and parking restrictions. Among the changes coming the next two Fridays, Saturday and Sundays:

    • Businesses downtown will be asked to close by 8 p.m.; the local board of health is working on a closure order.
    • City and MBTA garages will close to entering traffic early and non-resident vehicles will be towed from city streets.
    • Most MBTA commuter trains from Boston will skip the Salem stop on weekends and after commuter hours.
    • Some city streets will close to traffic and possibly pedestrians.
    • People may be asked to leave Salem after 8 p.m. if the situation requires it.
"We normally welcome throngs of visitors from around the globe to our community," Driscoll said at a news conference in Salem. "This is just not the year and we want to send the message that, if you want to come to Salem, come in November, come next year."

music to my ears! This is probably more what I'll be paying attention to rather than any single beer being available. Really enjoyed the last bunch of Notch beers I bought, but it's tough to tack on, at the very minimum, six bucks a four pack for shipping. There's a reason I don't buy $18 four packs already.

There’s also the allure of trying whatever goodies they have on tap from the side pull...not a bad consolation for making the drive.

Having my first-ever Reel-to-Reel as a Friday afternoon refresher. Glad I ordered it. All the unity of flavor you expect from Notch. Soft on the palate, dry & crisp, a pleasant touch of bitterness on the finish. Perfect.

Now having my first Notch Altbier. Jesus! This is good. (Sorry about the useless posts—it’s about all I’m good for these days.)

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see that soon.

I had this on draft in the ceramic krug I bought a couple months ago.

Salem resident here. Glad we are going nuclear on all the Fleetwood Mac’s. Come back next year, it will be glorious! Sorry it has to hurt the good people working and living in this town, but I’ll try and do my part to support the local businesses I love. No Notch in the beer fridge right now but that will change soon.

The Standard is coming Nov 3rd for those who are hoping to do a bulk order. There will be one bright spot on Election Day!

I will be skipping The Standard in lieu of Tenner on my next order (if Tenner lasts). Tenner is one of the few Notch beers I’ve yet to try.

You get an email confirmation as soon as the order is placed, and you get a confirmation when your order is shipped. You need to have a 21+ person at home at the time of delivery or UPS won’t release the package.
