Not gonna lie. I thought the same thing. I don't think it was done on purpose but it would've been nice to see my zip code on the list. I definitely would've ordered one.

Yeah, it's not like he's wrong about where they're delivering. I don't think it's purposeful, overt, racism... but they're up in Lake Zurich, and those Chicago zips are basically the most affluent and white neighborhoods around the north side of Chicago.

Again, I don't think it's purposeful racism, but like you said, it's not very inclusive/diverse.

Irving Park and Logan Square are mostly hispanic. The Loop and Lincoln Park are affluent. But all of these locations are way more diverse than the 80% White $120,000 a year median income Lake Zurich.

I mean, I guess that's part of the larger national debate. It's never OK to be exclusive, but where do you draw the line between economics and morality (going out of your way to be inclusive, even if it affects your bottom line a little)? I tend to think bigger businesses with more resources have a bigger responsibility to be inclusive. If Goose Island was doing the same thing, I'd probably find it more objectionable.

so this is what socio-economics is all about! tell me more BA.

kudos to P3 for creating a festive, covid-aware, option that's well-priced to boot!

well, for those of us who would consider $35 for 7 beers a " good deal"

Went to order one, and silly me for thinking my zip would still be available. Thanks a lot other affluent white dudes.

Not trying to quibble and genuinely curious, do you have a source that Logan Square is mostly Hispanic? Latest I can find is from 2018 that White residents surpassed Latinos in the neighborhood, hence the increased discussions we see about gentrification in Logan Square. I can't imagine that trend has reversed but am interested.

The numbers I saw were the same as this article but flipped 46% Latino to 44% White. Not sure how up to date they were though.

P3 is going out of their way to do something nice and cool for beer lovers in Chicago who can't make it out to LZ, even though their beer could clearly sell out without doing it. They are going to the places where there is a high density of beer bars and shops, and mostly along a direct path from Route 90, which makes sense when you probably have a couple of employees and a van trying to do this on their own. This isn't some massive business trying to prevent people of certain races or ethnicities from buying their product. Its a brewery with a single location and a couple dozen employees who are trying to do what they can on a Saturday to get their beer to people, and they probably did it in a way that tracks most of their early store locations (at least thats what it looks like to me). Trying to impute some form of racism on them is classless and wrong, get out of here with your hollow virtue signaling.

Lol. WTF? Pretty sure every single person discussing this has said it's not necessarily racism...

Virtue signaling... haha. Not one person in here is virtue signaling.

People are allowed to discuss things, no? God forbid people actually have a real discussion about something.

As someone else suggested, I wouldn't really say Logan Square is mostly Hispanic. And I'm pretty sure Irving Park even shows around 44% white at this point, and like 35% Hispanic.

Pretty much all those neighborhoods are affluent, and primarily white, or heading that direction. The houses cost half a million dollars or more, and the apartments you can rent are like $1800-2000 for a one bedroom. One bedroom condos are $300k. That's in Logan Square...

I had a buddy who lived in Roscoe Village for like 4 years, and just moved 3 months ago. I spent quite a bit of time up in those neighborhoods, so I'm pretty familiar with them all.

I peruse BA so I can get a break from listening to the bullshit topics like this 24/7. Well, so much for that.

there is a time and place. A beer forum isn’t it.

Other conversation aside, I'm not totally certain this is accurate anymore beyond highly sought after stuff. They started distro downstate to my area a few weeks ago, and saw a post a day or 2 ago that they're starting distro to Milwaukee. Sounds like there's beer to go around.

    Advocate: (noun)
1: one who pleads the cause of another specifically
2: one who defends or maintains a cause or proposal an advocate of liberal arts education
3: one who supports or promotes the interests of a cause or group

I think this discussion (not an argument until someone makes it one) qualifies.

I wish I made that much a year and I live here. We’re not Highland Park lol Plus, I’d say 65-70% white.

    Per US census data:
    Median household income = $114,545
    White population (not Hispanic/Latino) = 77.8%

Still not 80%. What’s funny is that you think everybody fills out a census.

    I never said 80%.

Please show me where I stated that?
