Kern River Brewing (2020)

Any more details on this beer? Fundraising for all the wildfires up that way? @KRBCEric

 

We actually committed to this beer prior to the fires starting up. Using Nelson hops as the showcase, it made sense to name it after one of our favorite areas to go hang out - Camp Nelson, Ponderosa, Freeman Grove area.

Unfortunately then the fires hit. We were bummed on many levels, but decided to go ahead with the project since the cans were already printed. We are on the look-out for any charity that may be related to those affected in the area, but don't have anything at the moment. Will keep you posted if we find anything.

How about the Camp Nelson Volunteer Fire Department? They are always in need of donations.

Taking a break from Casa A and ordeedr half case from KRBC. Interesting line up for me. Shuttle Bunny, Side Hike & Class V 4pks. So instead of all ipa's, there's a dipa, double hoppy red & one of my all time favorite stouts. And all 8+% ABV's.

 

Wondering if Citra will be available for shipping in a smaller amount than a full case.

 

Yes they will have 4pks on sale soon. When it gets closer to the release date. I am waiting for this and the other 2 releases to go on sale as 4pks. Or we may just take a road trip to Kernville this November and spend a night. Its beautiful there as the falls colors come into play.

 

I’m also waiting for 4 packs to be available. I want some Class V and Shuttle Bunny to go along with it.

 

Saw Class V in cans for the first time tonight at my local spot, Bradley’s Liquor in Tustin, and I am crushing one right now. Great no nonsense Stout.

Exactly. They stopped production of Class V back in 2016. I guess not enough love coming out of them bombers. Remember them 22oz bombers. I love this no nonsense imperial stout. I hope it stays.

 

Class V will still be gooood by then. SB should be about 4 weeks old. Still good.
To add, Side Hike is the new Dirty Hippie. A very good Imperial Red. Again coming in at 8+%. Looking forward to Citra and their new Camp Nelson as well as another new release Space Tuber.

 

And now Camp Nelson is available. I’ll have to go seek out some Class V locally in order to make space for some Camp Nelson.

Did they ever upload single 4packs of Citra cans for shipping? I’ve been checking all day and never saw the option. I only saw the case option throughout the day. Now there’s no option. Still hoping they add single 4 packs.

 

Soon as I found the mother lode of Kern on the shelves at a local spot I stopped checking. I hope this means Citra will hit distro as well.
