Haha If you’re a homebrewer you could make a yeast starter with that!

That's not yeast, it's maltodextrine. I was a bit skeptical of the recipe when I saw it, but went forward with minimal tweaks that resulted in a beer that was so incredibly roasty and bitter that it needed something to balance it out. We made a large batch of simple syrup with the malto and dosed it into the tank and recirculated it days prior to packaging. It seems that over time, it has separated from the beer in the cans. The beer was biofined and clear before the solution was added, so that should not be yeast. I'm not stoked about this and it's not an acceptable level of quality for us. We'll be pulling the remaining cans which is a huge bummer because it is supporting good causes. If you'd like a refund, just hit us up at [email protected]

Do you think agitating the can would get it back in solution (followed by re-chilling for 24 hours so it doesn't foam on opening)? I have a couple of cans left that I'm going to open regardless, just curious if getting it closer to its original state is feasible at the can level.

Appreciate the info, i honestly enjoyed the beer plenty and just planned to leave the last couple ounces in the remaining cans. Bummer that it didn't work out but definitely appreciate the openness and commitment to quality. The ipas I got from you are seriously world class and party cup is problematically good. I can barely keep from chugging it

Glad you're digging all the hoppy stuff! I have the same problem with Party Cup.

Careful decanting of BiB should be fine. That's what we're going to do with the remaining inventory, taproom only can pours by our staff.

So with CA shipping now on Wednesday, does this mean no new releases available to ship the same week? Bit disappointed by that, but I'm sure the patio crowd is making people in LA less important.

We're moving our weekly canning day to Tuesday starting this week as well, so Wednesday shipping will include new releases. Consolidating all of our shipping to a single day really optimizes things on our end.

We were having some issues where customers wouldn't receive their beer shipped out on Thursday until the following Monday even though GSL is supposed to be 1 day anywhere in the state. We hope to avoid having beer sitting in a warehouse over the weekend by having all shipments take place on Wednesdays.

Big ups to NPBC. I ordered half a case Shipped to my home last week. They mistakenly put a 4 pack of Bird Park instead of Disciples of Fu. I reached out to see if we could correct the mistake. They responded within a few hours apologizing for the mistake and said they would ship a 4 pack of Disciples ASAP. A day later they emailed again saying they were going to hold off on shipping so that we don’t risk the beer getting caught up in a warehouse over the weekend. For the delay, they offered to throw in an additional 4 pack of my choice. To top it off, they added a sticker pack in the box. Needless to say, I’m a happy customer. Looking forward to drinking all these beers and will gladly place another order when I’m all done with this one.

Aside from making damn good beers, North Park takes care of their customers the right way. Kudos to them. I'm going to make a trip in their direction (my first visit to the brewery) sooner rather than later and stock up. Nice to hear stories like yours.

I would also like to thank NPBC for their customer service. I got my dates confused and went over there to pick up my bottle of Walnut Brownie Points today. The bartender told me the pickup date wasn't until tomorrow, but still had someone fish a bottle out of the basement so I wouldn't have to make the drive again. I really appreciate them going above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of.

Agreed. I picked up a four pack not realizing it was $24. My wife and I agreed it was Monkish level and felt better about the price.

Is it brewed with actual honey? Might have picked up some on the aroma but wasn't sweet and had a great bitter bite on the finish.

Looking forward to trying this Ole West.
