Anyone traded for a 2005 Bourbon County stout in a while or have a sense of the value?

 

I haven't seen any BA Coco Vibes move in a while. What kind of plus would it take for BBT 4?

 

Voodoo Black Magick (Aqua wax) for Holy Mountain Midnight Still 2020......1:1? Plus on either side?

 

Probably going to need a small plus on the Magick side in my opinion, but could get done.

 

... and while I know taste isn't the dominating factor in these threads, I'm going to chime in anyway having had both. Great beers! You're trading away/for some of the better non-adjunct BA stouts out there, with the MS being a little more sweet and "chocolatey" with (obviously) more in the bottle, while I've always considered Magicks the sort of "platonic ideal" BA stout.

 

Just chiming in regarding the MS20, I had it a share not to long ago and it was really smoky at first and when it warmed up it came together and was really good but I definitely wouldn’t call it sweet and more rich/bitter like cocoa instead of milk chocolate. Just my opinion.

 

Just chiming in regarding midnight still, I thought Fremont BA darkstar was better.

 

Could be mere difference of taste buds, but it's worth pointing out that I had the 19 iteration and can't speak for 20.

Regarding Tête and Fou': How much of a plus would an '18 Fou' Foune need to land a Tête of any vintage? Something like Fou' + BA Dorothy, or does that fall significantly short? Appreciate input.

 

Someone offered me an older Fou' + Vig for Willett 4yr, and someone else offered BG&E + Hommage + Black Tuesday Reserve + something else but I closed on one for Juicy + Coexpressionalism + Flora Pear + '14 BCBSBW for mine, and the guy threw in some serious extras. I got him back for that. I've had interest every time I've posted for it. Nothing crazy, but always appealing. I'd think Black Gold and a nice plus would be super easy. I closed on Black Gold $4$ for Swish.

 

Not too far off from Tete V18, but feel like would need a better plus than BA Dorothy (I mean it's still available to go, and I see ppl offering it for Cost + 10). People also seem to love their Tetes, so might need a solid plus. Maybe something a little under 2 Fous, like Fou + Vig?

Where are the newest LPK and Magic (2020 autumn package) valued at in regards to bigger stouts or barleywine?

 

Late on this conversation and by no means trying to be snarky but are you comparing the Aqua wax black magick (brandy barrel) with the base Midnight Still (bourbon barrel) with your write up or a separate bourbon barrel BM?
