Half Acre (2020)

So far I've gotten a debit card refund, but my credit card is still sitting full of them lol.

 

I'm kind of craving truffles now.

 

Kudos to HA for the prompt response... was never worried the charges wouldn’t get refunded but nice that it happened so fast. Besides the required truffle/glass (as stated above probably an incorrect or overlooked checkbox) the rest of this release has to fall of tock and their payment processing system.

I wonder how strict the 15 min pickup window will be enforced. I originally had a much more convenient time/date to pick up but it timed out after payment errors. Don’t really want to push the issue too much given the rationale for using time slots.

 

Wow. Yep. All charges refunded except for the one I received a confirmation email for. Nice turnaround, Half Acre and Tock!

 

no and I’m assuming I’m not getting the beer but that’s fine. I did email them and tell them they can keep a payment for an allotment but if that doesn’t happen, I look forward to whatever gets released next

 

Well, there are now more credits than charges from Tock on my card, and I didn’t get a confirmation email. Only logical conclusion is I’m getting paid to not buy any Benthic this year.

 

I'm pretty sure you can still go on and buy it.

I'd wait and see what happens with refunds and such. Once they get a handle on how many allotments were purchased based upon the refunds, they'll know if there are more available.

 

My CC refunds are all there. Looks like just my purchase to my debit card that actually went through is the one that will stand. Oh well.

We chose to use Tock this year for our Benthic presale so we could ensure the safety of guests and staff during Benthic pickup by giving date and time slots. What is FFF using for their DL releases the past two times? They seem to be flawless.

 

Yes, there are packages left. HA has said as much on Instagram. They've paused purchasing while they sort out the shit show that was this morning.

 

While I don't see any malicious intent by HA, and they remain one of my favorite breweries, I still put this disaster on them. I don't give shit if they use Tik or Tok or someone else. It's their job to ensure their vendor is operating properly. The whole time during the disaster this morning, I kept wondering "Didn't they do any test runs to see how this would work?" I'm still looking forward to the beer I bought and I'm sure it will be great, but this definitely was disappointing.
