Dark Lord Day (2020)

Think we need to add a new Rrari entry here on BA considering last year was Port Whiskey and this year Cognac? We've done that for other variants at least so, anyone beats me to it feel free I'm partially indisposed atm.

 

yes, Loadstar also needs a different entry. Also I think Hellaboozie should combine with Bourbon Barrel Dark Lord. Just like how Vanilla Bean Dark Lord and Handjee are the same beer.

 

Swung by at 10am this morning to pick up mine. Pulled a Pierre.

 

Just picked mine up today. If you missed the orders online, shoot their dark lord group an email and they'll get you set up. Pulled Chemtrailmix for my brother and Sacred Sword of Jovan for myself. Line was incredibly short, overall a good first Dark Lord experience for me.

 

No rookie, let me offer you some advice- You pulled a Chemtrail for yourself and a Sword ofJovan for your brother.

 

Also, given @Sabtos review the previous page I think I should send him my unopened variants as a I may enjoy reading his reviews more than actually drinking the beer. My review “oh, this tastes good.” His are like a narrated trip through Narnia.

 

Super smooth pickup today. Chemtrail Mix and Sacred Sword of Jovan here. Hype

 

I am kinda impressed how smooth pickup was today! Super easy! Pulled a French Vanilla, and a My Rod My Comfort (ugh)....loving these new printed bottles though! Overall I am happy that they where able to have some form of Dark Lord event this year. Makes 7 years in a row for me!

 

Really? Why's that? This is my first experience with DL so I don't know too much aside from Chemtrail having more units produced and Sword having been made with cherries and port along with Divine Rite as opposed to rye whiskey

Edit: it should be noted that whichever my brother gets, he's going to share it with me as well

 

Mezcal barrels especially appreciated

 

I was joking that what he doesn't know won't hurt him and you should pick the best of the variants. Obviously it is subjective and you'll probably enjoy both equally, but Handjee and Chemtrail are regarded as top tier variants whether warranted or not.

Ordering was a breeze. Pick up was a breeze. Happy with Keyroc as a variant.

I certainly let miss the shitshow and doming 12% beers all day, but this worked for me. Glad to have the beers.

Had to laugh, pulled up to a relatively vacant lot at 5pm and because it’s three Floyd’s, they had music playing so loud in the lot, I had to yell to the woman taking my name. Landed a coconut/cognac/vanilla/strawberry thing and I’m gonna have a happy thanksgiving.

 

Barons of Hell

 

Drove for about 7 hours total yesterday but pickup was smooth and was able to stretch for a bit in the Veterans Memorial park by the brewery. My brother and I got 2 hellaboozie, a keyrock, and a handjee (heh). I'm looking to trade a hellaboozie for a different variant if somebody is less excited about theirs.

 

10:30 this morning, pulled a Pierre’s Javalin. At least Bomber BBQ was tasty

 

Picked up around 11:30 this morning. No line, took about 2 minutes total. Super easy. Pulled a My Rod though, so not a perfect morning.

 

Pulled in at 10am. 5 minute wait, pulled a 'Rrari, so overall very well done by Floyd's. My '08-'20 vertical lives on. For what, I have no idea.

 

Got there ~12:30 & there was no one in either line so super quick & smooth. After pulling 2 wine barrel aged variants last time, the Dark Lord smiled upon me today giving me a Hellaboozie & a Chemtrail

 

I got the exact same today. I mean, I’ll enjoy them, but I’d like my $20 tip back please.
