Confirmed. For those who have not gone yet, tipping will not make a difference on what bottle you receive. Don’t feel the need to overtip like some of us did.

Pulled 2-yr FVM and Keyrock. Was really hoping for a Chemtrail or a Handjee since Ive never had either, but I’ll gladly take these.

Hats off to the Floyd’s crew. In and out in 5 minutes, probably less.

The traffic on Calumet is another story though. Balls.

Arrived 10:30ish, in and out in a few mins. Process was as easy like the last vintage pick up this year.

Pulled a Lounge and a Keyrock. Not made at either of those..

It’s BS. Tipping has no bearing on it. Me and my buddy tipped because it’s the proper thing to do. The girl takes your info and such and yells to the guy in the truck to grab a certain number of allotments. He doesn’t know if you tipped or not. With that said, we pulled CTM, Pierre Javelin, Loadstar and Hellaboozie.

I agree that tipping is the right thing to do. I also agree that it had zero bearing on what variant I received (FVM and Keyrock).

Went with a friend. We pulled Loadstar, 2-Year FVM, Handjee, & ChemTrail.
After we saw what we got, then we tipped. Gave cash to the guy who put the bags in the car, not the girl. Very happy with that Haul. There around 4:30, took 5-mins.

Then we met up with another buddy. He went on Thursday and pulled a HellaBoozie & Handjee.

    Last night we drank a 2014 & 2020 Regular, a 2017 Militia and a 2016 Trump & Pump. Good times.

It's a little hot right now. You could tell the 2014 had mellowed and the 2020 was real fresh. 2020 was kind of Boozie, a little sharper on the finish. The '17 FVM was very sweet, but the two regulars weren't as sweet as I remember regulars being. Maybe '18 & '19 were the sweet regulars. I was a little confused as the Formula number from 14 through 20 is the same, but I can still taste the differences between years.

I know it's on here somewhere, but does anyone else taste sweeter years than others?

2012 was the sweetest year I can recall. 2013 was pure green apple and sugar fresh, but did settle down with age. Those were the two worst years IMO. 2014 was a notable improvement from 2012-2013. It does always seem slightly different each year, but still always has major similarities of being sweet, and having a fair among of umami character. I found the 2020 to be a bit stronger on the roast and umami, but it is still Dark Lord, and therefore sweet.

I thought 2019 was the sweetest and least "umami" of any Dark Lord I can recall (I think I've tried as far back as '14 or '15). I actually didn't really like 2019 that much. Glad to hear 2020 is back to normal.

Cracked a 2020 last night, and it was pretty great. Probably the least sweet DL I've tried, and by far the most intense coffee flavor and bitterness.

Well, you’re all talking Greek to someone with zero Dark Lord anything. Sounds like organized chaos...probably great fun, though.

Well, the HYPE on this release died pretty quickly. I guess we don't have the stories from the fest to relive ad nauseum. I posted on the trade boards here, but haven't seen any traction. If anyone can help me find a '20 FVM, I'd appreciate it. I really haven't seen that one in the wild. I'm having ChemTrail on Wednesday and will report back.

Well, I wish I would have checked the trade boards before I drank my FVM on Saturday.

Seeing lots of folks drink not just their regs, but their variants pretty quickly. Guess that'll happen when we didn't get to sprint to draft lines to catch em all this year, although still commendable. Love to see it.

Drink em all up because we know FFF didn't sell out and we saw how much they sat on from previous years with the vintage release this summer. There's more black gold in them thar hills!

How was it? I’ve had 2019 FVM and really thought it was well done and good. Then I had a 2017 FVM last month and couldn’t taste any of the flavors. The ‘17 fell off pretty fast and has always been very negatively rated. So is ‘20 closer to ‘19 or ‘17?
