Well, it would seem I was a bit 'confused' in my above post. I assumed that the beers were in 16 ounce cans (which is pretty much the 'standard' for Juicy/Hazy IPAs; at least around here).

So, it appears that Tree House is selling their Haze Flagship beer in the 12-pack/12 ounce can format. Is there is reason they decided to use 12 ounce cans here? The price is $39.60 for that format - so 27.5 cents an ounce).

    https://treehousebrew.com/shop/p/haze-flagship-double-ipa-12-pack-12-oz-cans
Is the price of $17.20 for the exact same beer (Haze Flagship)? Is that a four-pack/16 ounce format?

Assuming yes to the above - 26.9 cents an ounce.

So, the price per ounce is less for the four-pack/16 ounce format vs. the 12-pack/12 ounce format for some weird reason. Why no volume discount? And is the reason for the 12 ounce cans to obfuscate that Tree House is actually charging more (on a unit cost basis) for selling beers in a 'bulk' (i.e, 12-pack) format?

    Cheers!

I believe the 12 oz format is due to the can shortage. They also did 12 oz bottles of one of their IPAs for a bit earlier this year.

Yeah, Haze is 4.30 a 16 oz can, 17.20 a 4 pack and equal cost per can at a case.

lol, so they won't even sell you a 12 pack unless you spend an additional $25? Good for TH but not sure why locals tolerate that kind of crap.

So, just to double check: a case (six four-packs) is $103.20? No discount for purchasing multiple (i.e., 6) four-packs?

    Cheers!

Because it is Tree House and the Haze Bros just gotta have their Tree House beers?

    Cheers!

I typically only buy 12 packs for parties and BBQs,
But the most common go to 12 pack would be SNPA for those parties.
Earlier this year Guinness had a 12 pack of mixed stouts so I would definitely do that again.
I'll do a mixed craft 12 pack when they are a good combination, occasionally.
Jason, good luck on the job hunt.

the Wit isn’t bad. I’d avoid the IPA though. The original Lionshead is decent as an economical dad beer

That 12-er of Bohemia light, dark and wheat is pretty damn good for what it is.

The 15 packs from Oskar Blue are in the $18 range here unless on sale. I also like many other 15 packs that seem to run in the $14-18 range. I always add a 30 of Hamms into my purchase and that keeps my per beer price quite low. I try for $1 a beer and still get really close most days. Wolters 24x16 Black beer is also a good deal at $23 a case.

Spotted cow and the mix 12 from NG is also a great pack that seems to change seasonally.

When I was In Milwaukee I found a Woodmans just outside the city and they were cheap on beer and huge selection.

    Enjoy

Hopefully in a few weeks we will be getting another drop of Genesee Schwarzbier (Black Lager). Last year I was able to purchase a 12-pack for $8.99.

    Cheers!

I picked up a 12 pack of Smuttynose IPA tonight, 14.99. Not sure it makes its way out to your area, but for sure a quality IPA.

Just remembered a couple more . Not sure if you get 'em :
Saranac Haus Lager (12x16oz) that goes for $12-$16/pk . (I like it better than Jack's Abby, as it is less sweet)
Southern Tier 8 Days A Week (blonde, that usually satisfies the "basic lager" itch, though a spiced ale) - 8pk/$8.99 , usually
