Put in a Dudley Direct order (for DC delivery) last Thursday and have not received anything after the initial confirmation. I emailed yesterday and no response. I'm not in a rush, but I expected I would have had at least a shipping notification by now. Anyone else ordered from DC?

You should probably receive one today. I live about 50 minutes away and when I order it generally takes a week to pack and ship. If you're in their immediate area those people seem to get it within 2 days.. not really sure on the logic but that's what I have experienced.

Golden Void is a coconut bomb. I was wondering how all those flavors would come together and ... that's how.

That's interesting. I personally thought it leaned a little more towards the ginger/cinnamon side but yeah, there was plenty of coconut in there as well. I'll have to try another can soon

Here's hoping cans #2-4 are more like that. Not a coconut lover.

Will there be a Gatherer release this year, 2020?

    Negative =(

The pandemic hit right around the same time when Drew from 18th St would typically come and forage/“gather” with us... Doesn’t feel right to fake it. A big big part of that collab is the time we get to spend with Drew. (Who, btw, is one of the top top top people I’ve been lucky enough to meet in this industry)

Thank you for informing me of the dynamic between THBC and 18th. It’s cool there exists a story such as this behind the beer name. That’s a bummer to say the least but completely understand.

Just a friendly heads up to those who might be interested: looks like there’s a new LLC beer going to be released soon per Untappd that hasn’t hit Instagram yet: Autumn Bliss.

Any recent IPAs or Shakes particular standouts?

Trendler Alt releasing tomorrow. I haven't had this one before. I'm a big altbier fan and I swore of buying any more beer til Thanksgiving but that's gonna have to change apparrenly. My wife is gonna kill me.

Also a new DIPA, Yolk Dripped (hopped w/ Riwaka, Citra & Simcoe).

    Fuck.

Hmmmm. Did you mean LLC Autumnal Bliss from a couple weeks ago? It's not bad, but not up to LLC/TH standards IMO....if I'm mistaken please let me know

The new Maple Pecan Pumpkin Milkshake....was alright. Not bad but was expecting a bit of a fluffier quality to it. Not too sweet nor overly-spiced, thankfully. The maple is there but does enough to offset the other flavors. Perhaps it'll grow on me with time.

Yellow Eyes (DIPA) on the other hand, blew my socks off. Dankness ftw....per my untappd "review"

I've been enjoying the straight hops milkshakes. It's a good way to taste the hops with the thickness that lactose adds but without the extra fruit of the traditional milkshakes. The Riwaka/Motueka one that's still out now is a very good example.

So Bright Hellish Oblivion has been re-branded as DDH Oblivex. I’m okay with this.

Also that natural Pinot Noir is sounding pretty damn perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. Think I’m gonna have to cop me a bottle or two, even though I’m not a big wine guy

Happy I bought more than one four-pack of DDH Oblivex. Not sure I'd put it above DDH Punge (surprising given my ranking of the base beers) but still one of the best IPAs I've drank in a long time, with many heavy hitters in-between. Mango and peach were the big notes I picked up, and it's incredibly pungent. Strong flavors, and they mask the 9.2% well. Hate to sound hyperbolic, but the fact that Tired Hands has put out what I'd consider some of their best beers ever in the past few weeks is definitely a good sign.

Looking to trade for the newest beers to try now -- don't think I need a ton based on my Oblivex stash, but really want to try what else they're releasing nowadays.

DDH Punge and DDH Xtra MagoTago sold out in less than 5 minutes. That thanksgiving rush is no joke lol. Guess I’ll try again Friday

Both are still available for pick-up and shipping as of right now (Saturday drop/inventory). But yeah, people like to booze it up on turkey day. Looking forward to trying mango tango.

Was very intrigued by DDH Oblivex, as Oblivex/Punge are easily my favorite TH beers, but, honestly, I didn't think it was an improvement on the original. It tastes a little more unbalanced and boozy to me. Not a bad beer by any means, but not one that I'm going to unthinkingly down the 4-pack of in a single sitting. Had a similar experience with Pliny for President . . . sometimes it doesn't pay to mess with perfection. All that said, I did just order DDH Punge, for science's sake.
