I’m not saying that there aren’t some exorbitant secondary prices out there (because there are), but to be clear anyone can post anything for sale on MBCC. That doesn’t mean that someone is buying it or it’s “worth” that much.

you can search for sold. There are a few sales for Eq stouts but not many. I assume there may be a healthy market for them on FB?

I'll be honest. I don't want to know the secondary prices of my beer because knowing that some random bottle costs X% more than what I paid would make me feel like an asshole for drinking it.

It's just certain FB trade groups allow money transactions (the EQ one doesn't FYI). In the OH group, a couple BA LADS closed for 200.

FWIW it looks like most of EQ's BA beer go for around $150 on MBC

I wouldn’t buy a bottle of Rare a few years ago at market price ($59.99)....these ************s are crazy.

Jesus, for that kind of money get yourself a Class 18-year single malt. A bottle of beer? Wow

In a few weeks, KBBS will hit MBC. My guess is the price of a KBBS is $1,000.00. Lets hope I am wrong since it retails for +/-$100.00 per bottle.

Kbbs is around $500 now. There are some side project bottles that are $1k+.

I would guess around 500-600, a lot more competition now plus they allowed for proxies

Using MBC as a price guide, in theory, you can trade 3x BA LADS to 1x KBBS and the retail for 3x LADS is still under $100.00!!

There's a dude trying to trade a BA LADS for a PS5 on the FB group. I can't imagine that closes since PS5 is 400-500 retail and 1k+ on the secondary. I feel like such a dope for wanting to open and drink my bottle.

I respect the attempt even though that's the most laughably outlandish trade imaginable. A beer for a brand new video game console lmao incredible.

Someone posted an offer BA LADS for Pappy. I'm 99.9% sure that has to not be serious, but hey I can appreciate taking your shot.

Has anyone had any of EQs current cans and would recommend them? I'm going tomorrow to pick up my bottle, and can't decide if I want to grab some cans too or just head down to Tin Barn/Drowned Lands.

I picked up Hopwave 5 and Combat Wombat. Hopwave 5 is really good. It's got that Citra+Galaxy peaches + pineapple goodness. The lactose isn't overdone at all and the EQ melon is subtle and not in your face at all.

Drinking the Electric collab, Science & Sorcery TIPA w/ Citra & Galaxy. Probably the most pineapple-y Galaxy I've ever tasted, and without a doubt one of the best TIPAs I've ever had. It goes down so insanely smooth that it honestly drinks like an Other Half 8.5% beer--which many people say drink like 7% beers! A few bottle shops in NYC are carrying it, though at a steep markup (as per usual). I know many people are against $8 cans out of principle, but this one might actually be worth it.

I managed to score LBDS so I grabbed some more cans while I was there.

Fractal Strata/Galaxy - if you're a fan of strata and don't want to get too fucked up, this one is for you. This is extremely berry forward.

Roo Dream Lab Shoes - OH's dankness followed by EQ's melon finish. I thought this was pretty good.

Straight Out of the Laboratory - I remember the first time I had this and being surprised by how smooth this was for 10%. I'm drinking one right now and it's smooth, but also quite sweet and by far the most melon-y of the EQ beers that I picked up.

Overall, these beers are a lot better than what I had over the summer. All of the beers had that melon finish, but that's EQs thing so it's to be expected.
