    Snagged a single of Founders KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge yesterday, decided to pop it open tonight. Very sweet. Big ol' kick of maple fudge up front. It feels like this has more maple than CBS. It honestly reminds me of a thicker version of Springdale's Maple Barrel Aged Brigadiero. Not a ton of barrel on it, but a really enjoyable beer.

    Apricot and pineapple juice hued body; very dense, creamy, and thick white head; thick rings of soft and creamy foam cascaded down the glass. A fine aroma blend of dankness, tropical fruit, and a touch of cracker-like grain. Incredibly deft touch of bread crust and mild estery and hop bitter flavors; very minor perceived alcohol presence; toasted malt; earthy spiciness. Heavy body; gentle prickliness with a warm, mild alcohol warmth; soft and creamy.

    For a triple IPA (and a hazy one, to boot) this is a most incredible, balanced, and approachable beer. The booziness is so well hidden with finely balanced soft and toasted grain flavors and subtle hop bitterness, that one wonders at the magic that created this beer. Explicitly huge, deceptively sublime, this beer exudes greatness.
