Drinking Helles from a teku should be a punishable offense.

Amazing beer that Helles, had it this summer in Munich. Hopefully this will be offered in the US. Freshness is king, therefore: a risk, in particular to these lighter beer with their subtle flavors.

I thought the same thing. Interesting choice of glassware.

However it looks like maybe he was just using it as a tasting glass for a smaller pour to get his nose in there. Notice the full pour went into the Willibecher.

Precisely, and pretty sure @Jacobier10 was just ribbing, as the brand ambassador is (certainly) using the stem for funnel notation

Finally...something to look forward to in 2021. This is indeed an excellent brewery, and I know the Helles will be very good if not at the very top for the style.

Yes. Please. I'd love a great Helles. I'm so sick of IPA's, pastry stouts, Gose and sours!

Got some Original and Vitus in my garage. I see from other posts that the new Helles has a little less ABV and IBU. I love the Original but would like to try the new Helles. So . . . bring it on!

I wish they’d import their Dunkel.

It’s interesting how Saphir hops have really exploded in the German and Austrian beer scene. I really enjoyed Stiegl’s reformulated Pils which features Saphir hops - wish I could find more beers like it here.

It's weird, in some beers I like Saphir, in others I don't. I wonder how brewers are using it differently -- or is it just a variance in crops, IBU, freshness?

It could be pretty finicky to use, like a lot of modern hops, and you have to add it only at precise times and temperatures to get the full aroma and flavor from it. Would love to hear from a professional or home brewer on here who has used that hop before and get their opinion.

And I've liked it in beers from traditional and experienced breweries, not so much from American craft brewers... coincidence?
