5th Review of a favorite local Brooklyn brewer. This works. Hops from NZ, ID, WA, OR, and Germany - and they play well together and explode in flavor. 8.8% is actual ABV.
a) Hazed creamy lacer.
s) More fall orchard, tea-like, hop, than just citrus and orange peel.
t) Melange of flavors: Cannabis, (all the above), PLUS Mango, over-ripe fruit salad, nectar.
f) Creamy, dreamy, and brightens with more pepper than pucker into finale. Big explosion.
o) Among 6 Points finest, NY's finest.

2d review. Wow, already a fan of brewer, and its cause ReThink, on election Wed, this is welcome treat.
a) Pours a brown-black, with crema lasting and lacing head, resumes with a swirl.
s) All kinds of autumn bon-fire with dry and wet wood smoking along with wet leaves, damp fall earth.
t) Follows smell, just what you want in a complex fall stout, with the rye sharpness adding a high sharp and then a hop note.
f) mid-weight, good sharp smoky finish.
o) Great cause, great beer.

10th Review. Fan of this brewer which I visit annually in July. I being from Sandy Hook at the top of the Jersey Shore and it being at the bottom at Cape May Airport on its own private well. Visit often and share the mexican food.
a) Hazed yellow body with white caps lacing head as promised.
s) Big, tropical, fruit salad, lime, and grassy. Blossom perfume.
t) Bigger and adds more pine, resin, tangerine, cushy hemp.
f) Creamy yet resinous, cleansing. Lively carb.
o) One of their best.

This beer is such a classic! I just went to pay my respects to Paul Hornung. His autobiography is one of my favorite books of all time. He was a special athlete, and quite a character!

 

Finn is a 100lb black lab with a ton of energy despite being middle aged at 10yrs. But he sure could learn a thing or two about being photogenic from other dogs on WBAYDN like Ted or Miss Emma. Today is his birthday so we made him a peanut butter dog cake. As you can tell by the licking lips, he approved. I had a little dessert myself with the Fudge.

 

Kettlehead 3KD Triple IPA from New Hampshire. 11% ABV.

 

Daaaammmmmmmmmnnnnnnnn.....

 

Mother had to take me out for a walk - back now...cheers

@Shanex and @r-m-kaylor , I try to age some of the beers you mentioned.

By coincidence I came across some today in the attic (have to get it empty (the attic that is), because the builders will be staring with serious renovation work in a couple of days).


This one is from 2016



I'm not an expert at all when it comes to ageing beer. Just stash away some bottles for fun, and for you never know.

The beers Shanex mentioned are classic for cellaring here. But a beer like Orval (somewhat light on alc by vol) is also aged for up to 15 years and over. Your mileage may vary of course.

I'm adding some Westmalle Tripel to my stash very soon. Thanks for the review @r-m-kaylor !

Just finished up raking leaves and I set up the Christmas lights, my wife hangs wreaths on the house and we aim spotlights at them. It usually looks pretty nice because our house is white. Official lighting will be the Friday after Thanksgiving

It started out IPA weather but by beer time it turned to Stout
