Absolutely. Any pale or amber lager will work well. Just avoid using anything overly hoppy and you will be good.

 

That Munich Style Festbier is absolutely killer by the way. Needs to an annual release going forward.

 

It’s good, I think I like it better than Copper Legend (I fully realize it’s a different style).

That being said, it drinks a bit more Maibock than pale Oktoberfest to me. Anyone else getting that?

 

Looking forward to Red Tape. I believe it came out in late October or early November of 2019. Is it on the release calendar for 2020.

 

It’s currently available to order on their website, I’d assume it will hit stores next week.

Any more information on the BA VSOF Framinghammer, I’ve been digging through their website and social media but can’t seem to find anything other than its 2014 vintage framinghammer. I’m wondering if it’s just some 2014 ba framinghammer that’s been kicking around in a keg or in the cellar, or if it was in the barrels that whole time.

 

Mass Rising with mosaic and simcoe is outrageously good. Is this a spinoff of the original recipe or has it always been these hops? This 4 pack isn’t going to last the weekend


Also, does anyone know if kiwi rising is coming back? It looks like I missed the release this year...it usually came out around now

 

I'm a huge Mass Rising fan. Every time I have one I think about how I wish it was always available.

Kiwi got released off it's typical cycle this year if I remember correctly. Earlier in the year.

 

The price point and description suggest VSOF is cellared bottles of 2014 Framinghammer.

But 6-year bourbon barrel aged Framinghammer would be pretty wild.

The best Framinghammer ever was 2013 coffee FH, pulled direct from the barrel in 2017, via Springdale's Cerbeerus 5000 machine. So, the beer can clearly withstand some extended barrel aging.

What is making me wonder is that it’s packaged in the newer kinda stubby 16.9oz bottles, they had the longer, more narrow bottles back in 2014 IIRC.
