I believe Next Glass owns BA and Oznr (and untappd).

Bingo... Nail on the Head. There are a few different methods to run these releases which would result in no issues.

I mean they make beer and are good at that. Technology is hard and isn't part of their core strengths. If it was easy someone would have figured it out by now.

They own a business. It’s not just making beer. They’re good at that part of the business. Most breweries aren’t good at the rest.

There are plenty of other companies that aren’t breweries and also don’t have technology as part of their core strengths but still manage to get it figured out.

We are talking about a lottery that was setup that was to run for 48 hours and ended up running for 42 hours. How is that bad at running a business? Someone goofed when they setup the lottery on the Oznr app. In the grand scheme of all things Craft Beer related, this is nothing. Servers didn't crash, cards were not charged multiple times for hundreds of dollars on each charge, the amount of product they had didn't miraculously change, etc. Does it suck it happened? Sure. But this isn't the end of the world.

Put yourself in a category and move along because this convo is older than the kbs in my cellar:

    1. I entered and won but don’t care about this topic
    2. I entered and won and still want to bitch because that’s who I am
    3. I entered and lost and don’t care about this topic.
    4. I entered and lost and want to bitch because 6 hours would have changed the course of my destiny on winning this beer
    5. I did not enter because I didn’t want to and still feel the need to bitch about something because that’s what I do
    6. I was planning on entering sometime after 2pm and am upset they closed it early because my life is so damn busy.

Nearly all platforms have experienced an issues establishing online sales, even the largest and best run / larger capitalized. Wouldn't pin this on P3, and least their first go around.

Didn't participate in this release, as I'm not going to download yet another app. Most platforms use a site you can access online via a browser, not a phone app.

So back to the important topic that nobody can complain about (yet), who has the scoop on the timing of the curvature release?

Based on the lottery experience, only the great Oznr knows. App of Apps. Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

If sneaker brands and ticket distributors still have trouble then it doesn't really surprise me that these breweries do too. What I'm always curious of is, are there so many huge screw-ups because it actually is this hard to pull off or because no one wants to spend the money to make it run right?

All those who are mad they didn't win, I suggest buying a nice big pack of Celebration which is currently on sale at Jewel for like $15.

It's one of the best annual beer purchases I make. Heck, you could even get two for less than the price of one Mini-Touche!

Even cheaper at Binny's. It's $13.99 with your Binny's card. Just check the dates like I posted in another thread. They had the ones bottled 9/20 in the fridge, but the stack on the floor was bottled on 10/20. Always one of my favorite purchases every year. It's what I drink while putting up the Christmas lights on the house, and what I drink while we put up the tree and decorate it. Such a good beer.

This dragged out because of some people’s irrational defense of their favorite hyped brewery. Instead of just allowing people to state it was pretty crappy to cut the entry window short, people have to rush to P3’s defense. Clearly it can’t be their precious brewery’s fault! Obviously, people are lazy asses if they didn’t enter right when the entry window opened lol. If they have other priorities, but had planned to enter by the deadline, they didn’t deserve a chance anyway! And if some people don’t check social media obsessively...wait, they don’t?

Can’t imagine what would happen if one were to complain about their high taproom prices... $10/pint, yikes!
(DISCLAIMER: this is only a hypothetical example)

    7. I didn't enter because I won't drive out to LZ for a beer, but somehow I'm still wasting my life reading this thread.
