    No date code on this, but it came as part of a “Beer of the Month” box from my boss a couple of weeks ago, and my guess is it had at least a month of whiskers on it when it shipped. It’s still drinking really well - and you can’t beat a box of beer from your boss.

    Final new beer today. Having more than my typical day because this is likely the last day I can drink in Chicago outside of my house for weeks if not months.

    Alaskan Brewery Husky IPA

    Notes:     $5 draft shaker pint pour, 7% IPA.

    Appearance: Golden straw clear pour, light carbonation, nice cream rich bright white head, leaves generous creamy thick lacing. 3.75

    Aroma:     Light tropical aroma, tangerine, pineapple, mango aroma, sweet and pleasant. 3.5

    Taste:     Bolder taste than aroma, nice balance with the sweet tropical tangerine and pineapple offset by a low key but effective dry hop bitterness. Balanced, pleasant, nice. 3.75

    Mouthfeel:     Medium slightly creamy mouthfeel, faint carbonation, balanced flavor, slightly dry, easy clean drinking and finish. Stronger ABV not noticed at all. 3.5

    Overall:     Good balanced mild IPA, easy drinking. 3.5

    ...that was agitating finding out about this as I drove down Mesa Rd. and saw two bicyclists by the road gesturing and pointing. At first I thought it may have been Red Rocks...thank goodness they got a good amount of rotor and fixed wing fire support...now, hopefully, the new one in Teller county gets stomped on, too...
