That feeling you get when you go down to the beer cellar to rotate some things into the fridge and drop one of your last Thundertakers against the wall to witness it split. Your feeble attempt to shotgun it from the side as it sprays everywhere because you love it dearly whilst you've already indulged in a '19 SJ this night is pathetic and will not go unpunished.

 

R.I.P. You should feel no shame for trying to salvage every drip of Thundertaker you could.

They sell these plastic beer can toppers that fit pretty snugly on the top of open cans. Keeps the carbonation pretty decently for another 24hours. These have been awesome for these 15% cans or tallboys I just don't want to drink 16 oz of in one setting.

Those might work better than the can carriers I've been using....

 

Drinking a Mineshaft Gap tonight. Seems more balanced now from what I remember almost 3 years ago. The cognac elements still shine through but a little more subdued.

 

Not news but these Rev drive thru pickups couldn’t be easier.

 

If the 72 hours for the crowlers is to be exact, everyone better get to work tonight. They were filled on the 18th.

 

Deth by Cherries is legit. It's like one of the liqueur chocolates with the boozy liquid cherry centers. Also West Coast Hero is very good. Hides it's 8% very well

 

I couldn't believe that Deth by Cherries didn't have a limited allocation. A rare bright spot for 2020.

 

Is honey jacket tasting pretty close to batch 1?

ktr5010: I mean. Science. Gotta give the people what they want. 2020 is a little more rich with more toffee/ butterscotch notes vs 2019 being more straight boozy despite 15% for both. Also this is my third can if Deep Woods.

 

I've been interested in Straight Jacket reviews this year...it's an all-timer for me, but I thought 2019 was good, not great. This has me excited!

Yeah, we can say Marty and Jim are great brewers.
Sure, we can say @BeerCruncher is a great contributor here.
But you have just got to LOVE the dedicated Rev staff! Curbside is a very quick & impersonal transaction, but Serena made it fun and was super nice for the 2nd time for me.
Okay, I'm 50 yrs old and love the beer. BUT - I would not be a SUPER MASSIVE fan if the service and people were not of equal quality.
In conclusion:
-the crowlers were fantastic.
(you would laugh at the procedures and precautions we took to share amongst 3 neighbors)
-Deth By Cherries is super.
-You can fit me for a Straight Jacket anytime.
-Honey Jacket is unBEElievable. (a little sweet, but HONEY, it's good.
