    Any info on this brewery?
Just started getting cans of their beer all the way here in Salem OR ( one beer store).
Sitting down with their kolsch, Strictly For My Grind. Its a nice lighter , drinkable beer.
Looking forward to trying the others!

Va Native here... Adroit Theory, my opinion, is very IPA/DIPA/TIPA/hazy-heavy... I've gotten to the point I only seek them out when its not an IPA (stout, barleywine, etc.). Plus, their prices... woof... you're paying for the can artwork and the beer I guess

I’ve only had a few of their beers, IPAs. Pretty good and I’d drink them more often but they are probably the most expensive brewery in the area. The bartenders at the brewery were awful when I visited a couple years ago.

Its interesting to me that they are shipping to OR and that kolsch is what they picked.

Their facility isn't very big so a little surprised they have the volume for distribution so far. Perhaps they are contract brewing. I do know they expanded so maybe they are bigger than I am imaging.

Also when they first started they said wouldn't brew anything less than 9% which is odd that kolsch was the one distributed. I know they haven't stuck to that rule.

In my experience they typically have 4 or 5 beers on the menu. Stout, gose/sour, ipa and then 4 or so variants of those beers.

This store often gets way out of State beers..they have them and you never see them again. No idea how their beer buyer does it,
There are several more Adroit beers..i just chose the kolsch because i wanted something light that wouldn't get me buzzed.
Prices were normal for Oregon..not too expensive.

    Sounds like a mini-Rogue!

a lot of their beers that reach distro out of state, and even some available on shelves in VA, have been contract brewed by Brew Theory (no relation other than word in the names) in Florida for the a number of months now. Check the side of the can to see if it says brewed in Orlando. They use to have a bunch of stuff contracted with Old Bust Head in Va but they partnership ended a while ago.

I didn't know about this. It was interesting to see friends in MA checking in AT beers.

If you enjoy fruit bombs their fruited goses are good, imo. But I agree with the comments above, on the expensive side.

Are you talking about the Illusion of Safety series?

They are relatively expensive and taste good but a word of caution (unless something has changed) they can have secondary fermentation unless kept cold.

That is interesting to hear, i actually bought the cans I got directly from the brewery when they started shipping this past Spring. Once was in June, and they were not hot when i opened the box but certainly at least room temperature. I had no issues with my cans, though they went straight into my refrigerator. I am surprised they were not shipped with any kind of cold packs if there is a secondary fermentation issue.

That is interesting as I recall seeing it on their Instagram account and way back at Mom's on a handwritten note. Maybe some variants are more susceptible, maybe you got lucky? I would think the summer would have been a true test.

From what I have seen on the shelves, I would agree with the other posts: the price point just isn't where it needs to be for me to be able to purchase. The can art is awesome though.
